This is a great little book! A statement under "Patents" sums up his life mission and service to mankind. "I must commit myself to reforming the environment and not man; being absolutely confident that if you give man the right environment he will behave favorably." (This is an excellent thought at a time when most people want to reform politicians in the other party. Bucky simply transcended politics with thinking that was on such a higher plane. Every time I read his work, it's as if my backbone gets another treatment of"steel rod material" shot through it. Then I return to my vision what what humanity can become, roll up my sleeves and get back to my projects with renewed determination. There are wonderful insights, facts and major principles on every page of this book. He was such a "Big Picture Guy," and absolute integrity was his game plan.

How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 13, 2015An amazingly synthetic but dense framing of Bucky's Experience-based strategy of thinking and inspiring planning, protection and action FOR OUR SPACESHIP EARTH'S IMPROVEMENT (beginning with its passengers must valuable asset: their minds, thoughts and cognitive maps and strategies).
- Reviewed in the United States on December 20, 2013Bucky Fuller always wanted humanity to achieve the best possible future. He outlines his life's work in this book. Well written and a great read if you're interested in Fuller's work/life.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 15, 2017Together with William T. Powers' Perceptual Control Theory, Fuller's vision is now entirely made relevant and accessible.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 6, 2018This book is quite an adventure! Filled with rich truth, it was bit challenging to read, as he is very wordy and you have to sort through all the words to find the nugget within. I found it rich and insightful once I learned to maneuver round all the verbiage.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 26, 2006This book is the one to read if you seriously need an information-overload on positivity, and doing what needs to be done on this Spaceship Earth. Everyone is crew, no-one is passenger. The information contained within this _very_ short book, bears reading every year, every month.
Buckminster Fuller should be so much more appreciated than what he was while he lived, but more so, what is the point of being a fan, if one isn't finding what one can do based on one's own experience, and then doing it. Find what needs to be done, and do it!
I wish I could send this book to everyone I know and have them read it, re-read it, and re-re-read it, just to make sure the information contained here-in gets absorbed into one's mind also. It is not mere rational information, this is what he came up out of intuitive, experience-based thinking, using the right hemisphere instead of the left-hemisphere.
Let there be many more Guinea Pigs between here, and the forced re-definition of utopia.

Penny TreasureReviewed in the United Kingdom on January 3, 20162.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
I have always heard so much about Buckminster Fuller and wanted to know more about his life and achievements. Book is disappointingly a long rave from someone who sounds like he has spent his life telling other people how great he is.
