The Big Wedding: 9/11, the Whistle Blowers, and the Cover-up Paperback – January 1, 2005

3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars 26 ratings

9/11 ushered in an era of permanent war, rule-by-fear, illegal torture, and indefinite detentions - all justified by an attack that the Bush administration claimed was a complete surprise. But in 2001, indie publisher Sander Hicks had a unique position from which to cast a hard look at the official story. Based on four years of original research and reporting, The Big Wedding: 9/11, the Whistle-Blowers and the Cover-Up provides a new level of proof that Bush's advisors had detailed foreknowledge of 9/11.

This is an actual account surrounding 911. If you've never heard of Randy Glass then you don't know much about what really happened on 911.

I respect Sander Hicks for all the extreme leg-and-keyboard work that obviously went into this book. 'Big Wedding' is very educational on certain background aspects of 9-11, such as the Pakistani/BCCI connection.

What I wonder is how people such as Hicks and also Daniel Hopsicker can do such great background work and then stop one inch short of the obvious conclusion that is staring us all straight in the face: 9/11 wasn't just "allowed to happen" - it was a domestically engineered shadow government psyop from the word go.

I mean give me a break - if it walks like a duck, looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's a duck.

These authors call for a radical realignment of American values but I don't think that can ever happen as long as we can't face the truth - which is that, not the entire USA government, but rogue elements within the CIA engineered 9/11, and received FBI cooperation in covering their tracks. Atta and the others were groomed in a parallel track as patsies, the standard formula applies. Simple actually, when you take your blinders off. So far, David Ray Griffin is the sanest voice that has manfully stepped up to this clear conclusion.

My comments are not "Bush Bashing", as I have no personal agenda against Bush, nor do I believe that "Bush Knew!" I subscribe to Webster Griffin Tarpley's idea that Bush was presented after the fact, later that same day, with 9-11 as a fait acompli. 9-11 was an invisible coup.

The main thing that seems to bug Hicks is the 9-11 skeptics' idea that no Boeing ever hit the Pentagon. In this one area, Hicks treats the evidence very, very shoddily in his rush to paint that claim as utter, total nonsense. His treatment is really shallow. He claims that the main skeptic point is that the Pentagon entry hole was too small for a Boeing. He then points to the fully collapsed Pentagon facade picture as his main counterargument, implying that the huge collapsed facade section shown in his published photo was plenty big enough to have been caused by a Boeing (p. 105).

Totally missing is any mention that the full facade collapse photo was taken over 30 minutes past initial impact. The INITIAL crash scene photos show a far, far smaller "entry hole" for the "Boeing".

Beyond that he relies on a collection of supposed eye-witnesses and some discredited urban legends about finding bracelets and body parts in the wreckage. That stuff may be true, but I think the preponderance of the evidence indicates that no Boeing hit the Pentagon.

There is plenty more evidence to take the Hicks and Hopsickers of this world over the edge, why do they cling by their toenails to the precipice? Guys, the evidence is all over the place, fingerprints are everywhere, give it up: it was a CIA blackop from soup to nuts.

I titled this review "Limited Hangout". Hicks himself points out that this is used as a term of mindless abuse for anyone, such as himself, who can't go the full nine yards on 9-11 skepticism. By giving the review this title I don't mean to suggest any conscious or paid deception on Hicks part, nor any bad faith. Nevertheless, his otherwise very interesting and valuable book is functioning as a very high quality, extremely educational limited hangout.

Packed full of new information on the 911 attacks and what could have been, like the fact that they were intended to be a nuclear attack!!! Where else do you read that, or the incredible story of Glass! Just a solid book, and one of the few that covers (in my opinion) the most credible evidence that 911 was an inside job--the CIA-ISI connection.

Great book - good facts. I know why Bush wouldn't allow for a investigation!

This is the first 9/11 book I actually read. I recently bought a few more copies for friends, and then read it all over again. I like the fact that it does not have some of the more recent information included, so you see it as the author did at the time.

Also, the author is an interesting writer. I find him humorous.

Another 9/11 truth movement book that can render the reader breathless and speechless.

"The Big Wedding" makes an important reading for the truth seeker, and the puzzle inquirer. Brave research and fascinating details. It is worth every penny !

This book tells the story of the gagging of the whistle-blowers, who predicted that `9/11 was going to happen' and `was allowed to happen'.

The author sees 9/11 as a desperate last effort of the powerful in the US (mega-capital) to divert the power of the people for their own selfish goals, not for Lincoln's vision of real democracy `government of the people, by the people, for the people'. The mighty sacrificed the US foundational principals for pure power.

A crucial text in this context is the PNAC (Project for a new American Century) where the authors ask for a huge jump in US military spending with new bases in Central Asia and the Middle East, the toppling of non-compliant regimes, the shredding of international treaties, total control of the world's energy resources, militarization of outer space, complete control of internet and a willingness to use nuclear weapons to achieve US goals. This manifesto recognized the need for `some catastrophic and catalyzing event - like a new Pearl Harbor.'

Actually, `the US war machine sucks down half the tax dollar of every working American'.

This book contains also excellent information about the 9/11 ring leader Mohamed Atta, who apparently was some kind of double agent, but was `compartmentalized': `he clearly didn't know exactly what he was doing.'

Also very important is William Colby's statement that `the CIA owns everyone of any major significance in the major media'.

I highly recommend this book to all those who love freedom, alongside books by W.G. Tarpley, D.R. Griffin and N.M. Ahmed, as well as the BBC TV-series `The Power of Nightmares'.
