Just before beginning his first term on January 20, 1993, President-Elect Clinton made a very strange request to close family friend and lawyer Webster Hubbell: “If I put you over there in justice I want you to find the answer to two questions for me: One, who killed JFK. And two, are there UFOs.” According to Hubbell, “Clinton was dead serious.” The key to unlocking the mystery of President Kennedy’s assassination and a possible UFO connection lie in events that occurred 18 years earlier in post-war Germany. In 1945 John F. Kennedy was a guest of Navy Secretary James Forrestal, where he personally witnessed technological secrets that have still not been disclosed to the world. These secrets stemmed from extraterrestrial technologies that Nazi Germany had acquired and were attempting to use in their weapons programs. In searching for answers to who killed President Kennedy we need to start with the death of his mentor, James Forrestal in 1949. Forrestal became the first Secretary of Defense in 1947, a position he held until March, 1949. Forrestal was a visionary who thought Americans had a right to know about the existence of extraterrestrial life and technologies. Forrestal was sacked by President Truman because he was revealing the truth to various officials, including Kennedy who was a Congressman at the time.Forrestal's ideals and vision inspired Kennedy, and laid the seed for what would happen 12 years later. After winning the 1960 Presidential election, Kennedy learned a shocking truth from President Eisenhower. The control group set up to run highly classified extraterrestrial technologies, the Majestic-12 Group, had become a rogue government agency. Eisenhower warned Kennedy that MJ-12 had to be reined in. It posed a direct threat to American liberties and democratic processes. Kennedy followed Eisenhower’s advice, and set out to realize James Forrestal’s vision. The same forces that orchestrated Forrestal's death, opposed Kennedy's efforts at every turn. When Kennedy was on the verge of succeeding, by forcing the CIA to share classified UFO information with other government agencies on November 12, 1963, he was assassinated ten days later. Kennedy’s Last Stand is the story of how an American President tried to realize his friend and mentor’s vision of a world where humanity openly knows about extraterrestrial life; and of the government officials responsible for denying that vision.

There are some redundancies but overall a great read. The effect of the US Treasury note was not explored and probably should be. Getting rid of the Fed would have probably been the ultimate buzz kill for the covert UFO programs.

One wonder if Kennedy wasn't doomed from the beginning and was just the horse to get Johnson into power.

You have to be impressed with Michael Salla's research. I've studied the JFK assassination for many years, and I now place Kennedy's Last Stand among the most important books on the subject, including those by Mark Lane, Jim Marrs, and James Douglas. Salla's thesis that JFK was killed because he attempted to regain control over MJ-12 does not invalidate but rather adds to previous research on the issue by these other writers. Yet, given the US government's highest level classification of the ET issue, the thesis that Salla so ably documents in his book may in fact have been the principal motive behind the assassination.

If Salla is correct, one trembles for the future of our nation; because it means a lawless secret cabal has been creating mayhem since the 1950s.

I must take issue with the author regarding James Forrestal. Salla fails to convince me that Forrestal was murdered because he violated MJ-12 protocol by briefing the young JFK on the UFO/ET issue. A strong case can be made that Forrestal was murdered because he had taken a principled stand against US recognition of the Jewish state in 1948. Forrestal was no anti semite; he had close Jewish friends and business associates. Yet, he believed strongly --- foresaw is more accurate -- that recognizing Israel would, sooner or later, become a foreign policy nightmare; and history has since proven this view correct. Forrestal's opposition to US recognition of Israel was also probably his main point of contention with Truman, and why Truman fired him.

To his credit, Sala cites David Martin's fine research on this issue. (See Martin's on-line book Who Killed James Forrestal?) Martin's research into Forrestal's death has put all of the historians to shame. Martin certainly convinced me that Forrestal did not leap to his death from the 16th floor of the Bethesda Naval Hospital in 1949 as most historians claim, but was in fact murdered, probably by a Zionist assassin. A discussion of Martin's counter-thesis would have been a valuable addition to Salla's book, even though it calls into question one of his conclusions.

Questions also remain about the role of JFK's CIA Director, John McCone. Presumably McCone's role as head of the CIA also placed him at the top of MJ-12. Surely in that role he could have canceled Allen Dulles' assassination directive. Did McCone betray his boss JFK? It is more likely that the MJ-12 executive committee bypassed McCone. James Angleton had been Dulles' protege and may have carried out the directive agreed on in 1961 to remove a president who threatened MJ-12's control over the ET issue. JFK did just that - and paid the price.

Another point: Salla's conjecture that Truman had Forrestal murdered on behalf of MJ-12 makes no sense. Truman was no more in the loop than JFK.

I really enjoyed this book, because for me it puts the extraterrestrial equation at the forefront of the Kennedy assassination controversy, which I have had a predilection to for years. In order to rationalize Kennedy’s Last Stand, you really have to have some background knowledge in the ufology and shadow government areas. I highly recommend that you listen to as a precursor President Eisenhower’s Farewell Address on January 17th, 1961, and his concerns about the military-industrial complex, and President Kennedy’s Secret Societies speech that was made on April 27th, 1961, at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel a couple of times before you start to read this book. Both are available on YouTube in their entireties.
The book touches on a multitude of subjects, Including Operation Paperclip, Majestic 12 and who they were, the CIA, Marilyn Monroe’s involvement, Kennedy and Eisenhower’s thoughts on Ufology and extraterrestrial life, Roswell, joint space and lunar missions with the Soviet Union, and more.
In many books now documented covering that time period, James Forrestal is portrayed as a man of strong moral character and a beacon in disclosing the truth to the American public. A man of discipline, intelligence, and principle, he was one of the original members of MJ-12. Forrestal was the first senior public official to cultivate and mentor Kennedy back in the forties, and Forrestal’s death in 1949 weighed heavily on the future president. It should be obvious to anybody that the official story stating that James Forrestal suffering a mental breakdown is a total lie, and in May of 1949 he became the first instance of a senior political figure being killed to maintain the UFO cover-up. If there was ever a case for the Farsight Institute to get involved with, this definitely should be at the top of their list of targets.
Extremely valuable were also the contributions, researching, and authenticating of documents used from the individuals that were listed in the Acknowledgements Section, in particular Dr. Robert Wood, Ryan Wood, Stanton Friedman, Dr. Donald Burleson, Thomas Carey, Donald Schmitt, and the whistleblower accounts of others who have documented what they have witnessed and experienced. Each chapter ends with a very thorough Endnotes Section where additional research can be accessed on the internet.
There are other well researched books and documentaries on the Kennedy assassination, which have been produced by very accredited individuals. Speculating, it would be an interesting experiment to combine the best of all this dedicated research combined with the abilities of remote viewers with a strong record. What is becoming obvious today is that there is more than one participating faction in the layering of the shadow government.
There are a multitude of reasons why ‘the establishment’ had to eliminate President Kennedy, but it was also a shot heard around the world. A serious message to whistleblowers, that extraterrestrial life or recovered technology dissemination would be dealt with severely.

This was a stimulating book that made a very plausible argument not only for alien existence but the fact of its existence being an important factor in the Kennedy assassination. The only flaw, and it is not the author's fault, is that the evidence and the corroborating evidence is so thin at times that a lot of assumptions, albeit plausible, have to be made.
