About the author

Gregg Braden is a five-time New York Times best-selling author, researcher, educator, lecturer and internationally renowned as a pioneer bridging science, spirituality, and human potential.
From 1979 to 1991 Gregg worked as a problem solver during times of crisis for Fortune 500 companies, including Cisco Systems where he became the first Technical Operations Manager in 1991. He continues problem-solving today as he merges modern science and the wisdom of our past to reveal real-world solutions to the issues that challenge our lives. His research has led to 15 film credits and 12 award-winning books now published in over 40 languages.
Gregg is a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and is active with visionary organizations including the HeartMath Global Coherence Initiative and The Arlington Institute. He has presented his discoveries in over 30 countries on six continents and has been invited to speak to The United Nations, Fortune 500 companies and the U. S. military.
The United Kingdom’s Watkins Journal lists Gregg among the top 100 of “the world’s most spiritually influential living people” for the 7th consecutive year, and he is a 2020 nominee for the prestigious Templeton Award, established to honor “outstanding individuals who have devoted their talents to expanding our vision of human purpose and ultimate reality.”

5.0 out of 5 stars I think its great stuff to listen to. Especially things that are not from school.
There are 8 CDs in the package. Its author's voice reading through the entire book. I usually listen to those CDs at night time. I can tell all the CDs are new untouched.
I would recommend ripping those CDs to wave files for listening on computer since not all CDs will last over time. Using headphone at night time before bed would be perfect for me.
Clear tone/voice, not too slow, not too fast reading.
The topic is recommended for anyone. Just need to be open-minded. I too come from Engineering background yet still want to discover the side that science has not yet touched.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 25, 2015With all the crises in the world especially new generations with their inclination towards "dsytopia" may find it hard to swallow yet more popular New Thought type thinkers giving them positive thinking antidotes to major world problems. Fortunately, Greg Braden offers a solution that does not throw the baby (positive thinking) out with the bath water. Instead, he embraces positive thinking about the future, but grounds it in reality by teaching us that the capacity to be resilient is one of the most essential criteria for well-being and survival. Without glossing over the problems we may all face in the future (which are illustrated throughout the book), Greg Braden offers hope through a wake up call to get real, real soon. One warning, if you are not in the right mind space this book could depress you. If you are in the right mind space, you are already demonstrating a certain amount of courage to understand that we all can have what it takes to make the world better despite the challenges we face, if we can be resilient and take it. .
- Reviewed in the United States on January 29, 2014I am a true admirer of the author's work and original thinking. (See my 5-Star reviews of "Deep Truth" and "Divine Matrix.") At the same time, I was a bit disappointed with this new book as compared with the previous two. The primary message still rings true... we DO live in a universe of connectivity as more and more individuals are coming to accept, but the delivery and support of this critical message is not as powerfully presented as in his past work. Too much repetition. For those of you who have not read his prior work, this book might serve as a good starting point in conceptualizing the notion of a "Universal Intelligence" which is a natural dimension of reality through which all life-forms are intertwined. Braden is a master at describing this under-appreciated state of existence. Also ... though we are getting closer and I remain optimistic in knowing mankind will eventually "get it" long-term ... there is still a lot of work that remains to be done before humanity reaches the "turning point" we all hope to achieve.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 1, 2015I've read and enjoyed several of Gregg Braden's books, and The Turning Point delivers as usual. I really like how Mr. Braden joins both ancient wisdom and new thought but also the spiritual and the scientific. His insights are always spot on and illuminating. Plus, The Turning Point is simply a good read. Highly recommended.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 2, 2014"The Turning Point" is one of the very rare blends of vital information for all of us, combined with beautiful wisdom and very practical and immediately applicable ideas, tools and techniques. The author has done a masterful job in offering us probably the best ways available today to improve our lives, to end disease, to minimize the critical problems we have in our offices that might eventually kills us if we continue with our current mindsets. If you feel you are worth a better tomorrow for yourself, a better future for your children, you can't afford to miss this book.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 3, 2014the tone of this book was a little paternalistic, as if the author was talking down to grade schoolers. also, sounded like the self-help feel-good genre. most of the material was a re-hash under one cover. the rising prices are attributed to energy shortages per hulbert, ignoring that the comex and almost everything is highly manipulated by the oligarchy. the un is cited as a solution when there is an obvious agenda behind the green mask (agenda 21), and there is suppression of dissent and use of fraudulent data to support man-made global warming for economic and political purposes. double goes for the rockefeller foundation. they are not the solution. they are the problem. climate changes, we need to adapt., but until the system changes and the assault on nature and individual freedom is de-railed, resilience is default mode.

I have always been a fan of Braden and have all of his books. He never fails to get the brain working, and at my age this is a miracle in itself.
I am only half way through, as I really like to get into his works enjoy his discoveries
Would recommend and have done so

BubblReviewed in Germany on March 1, 20141.0 out of 5 stars sein schlechtestes Buch bisher - ich werde es wieder verkaufen
CharlesReviewed in the United Kingdom on February 28, 20145.0 out of 5 stars Lovely thought provoking read
A well written book easy to read right through, its a book full of practical wisdom at the same time as something of a practical life survival guide by asking and to an extent answering many of today's questions. Gregg Braden mixes up his own experiences with conclusions from research making his fact giving entertaining.
There is some duplication from Greg's previous works but anyone new to his works will find this an excellent piece.
Highly Recommended
