    This book goes directly to the heart of the depth of deception being perpetrated against the American people.     There is a sea of uninformed young people coming up in this country. I believe their hearts are in the right place and their passion for justice needs to be informed with the full truth.     As an ultraconservative I was shocked by some of the things I read in this book about the Republican and Democrat parties. In retrospect, and after reading Michael Savage’s latest book, I shouldn’t have been shocked, Dr. Savage told me the same thing. The system is corrupt, our government is corrupt, the mainstream media is corrupt, both parties are corrupt, and the corruption runs deep in all agencies of the federal government. Neither party has the best interests of the American people they represent at heart, only their own power and the wealth they can accumulate at the expense of the American taxpayers and foreign governments while they are in office. Have you ever seen a poor politician? Most, if not all, leave office wealthy, even at the local level.

    Tom Fitton and Judicial Watch uncovers and discloses this corruption through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and the courts, albeit with unrelenting resistance from the Obama administration who often ignores the FOIA request and the FOIA law altogether, until a court rules that they have to comply, and then the administration redacts documents, sometimes to the point only the title is readable. Yet judicial watch relentlessly continues to push in search of the truth.

    Among some of the current administrations scandals that judicial watch has exposed were the Benghazi cover-up, the Clinton e-mails and private server, Fast and Furious, voter fraud, congress - both Republican and Democrat members - exempting themselves from Obamacare, Obama using the IRS as a political tool to attack conservative political organizations, the administration’s total disregard for immigration and border enforcement laws, and the admiration’s reckless approach to terrorism. Had it not been for the diligence and arduous efforts of Judicial Watch all of the improprieties and crimes would have gone undetected and unreported by the mainstream liberal media. All of this is described in detail in this book.

    I really struggled with this book because I didn’t like what I was reading. The corruption runs deep in the US government and it will remain there even after Donald Trump takes office. Corruption festers in both parties. It runs deep in the government right down to the file clerks who are civil service employees and who the courts have ruled own their jobs and can’t be discharged without due process and cause. These people will still be around and will be subversives after Trump takes office. Trump will be faced with huge problems. All the boll weevils that Obama has placed like poison pills throughout the federal government and all of the organizations that we know are subversive, like Media Matters, will still be around doing everything they can to sabotage Trump. The cancer will be there in the form of the career federal employee for years to come, it will be impossible to treat or remove and will likely spread in the upcoming years.

    This is a book that people who love this country (those that don’t need to go to a country more to their liking) need to read and then they need to write to or call their representatives and tell them to knock this crap off, live by the same rules you impose on us, enforce existing laws, rewrite and reinforce the FOIA to stop the secrecy in government, pass laws and enforce them to stop the abuse of power by and self-enrichment of politicians, Establish term limits in the house and senate, do the flipping job we sent you there to do or we’re going to vote you out of office.

    If you are a conservative and this book doesn’t make you furious with your government, check your pulse, because you may be dead and don’t know it. You may be witnessing the end of our democracy and a free America as we know it. If you are a liberal, and in the unlikely event you read this book, you will likely applaud the lies, deceit, stonewalling, cheating, and criminal activity of our own government and our representatives.

    It was reported that General Abrams' tears were found on the condolence letters he sent to next of kin of those killed in Vietnam during his watch.

    My tears, real and in some cases symbolic, are on nearly every page of Clean House. It is impossible for me to understand why forces standing by in Benghazi were refussed permission to help those overrun and killed in the Consulate. A quote from a secret DoD summary makes this point more eloquently that I can.

    " The attack was an organized operation with specific information that the US Ambassador was present. The Salafi group attended the protest at or near the U.S. Consulate earlier on 11 September 2012, and returned at 2300 (11 p.m.) firing small arms weapons and between 25 to 30 RPGs (rocket propelled grenades) at the Consulate and other unknown targets...The attack in (sic) carried out in retaliation for the killed of the Al-Qaada''s number two man, Abu Yah Ya ((AL-LIBI)."

    So, the story released by the Administration that the attack was triggered by an event in Cairo was fabrication wholly to save face.

    How can our country survive such obfuscation?

    Because this organization is nonpartisan, they cover ALL political institutions. That being said, the information they have been able to get under the Freedom of Information Act is TERRIFYING and tells us what the media will not... that our politicians are not being honest with the American people. The information is factual and based on documents acquired... this isn't fiction. This should be a required read by everyone of ALL political parties. We're ALL being lied to and in the process, government is pushing to limit the information people have access to under the FOIA, which would essentially give them carte blanche to lie about and do anything they want.

    As someone who used to work within FOI in government departments on the one hand I can understand redactions for exemption in law but on the other hand I applaud the hard work that Tom and his team has done over the years to expose government corruption. I liked this book so much I bought his second.

    If you want THE story not A story about government corruption, read this book. I’m Australian so I don’t have a dog in the fight so to speak and I found it fascinating.
