The Tyranny of the Federal Reserve Paperback – July 1, 2015
Purchase options and add-ons
The Federal Reserve is a leviathan that overshadows the world economy, dominating it, controlling the flow of money, affecting all our lives.
The Federal Reserve Act was passed in 1913 in reaction to the bank runs, bankruptcies and financial chaos caused by the Panic of 1907. The stated purpose of the Act was to create a stable monetary system to bring financial stability to the United States and prevent such economic crises as the Panic of 1907 from occurring again. Sixteen years after the passage of the Act, under the Federal Reserve's watch, the nation experienced the worst financial collapse in our history and descended into our deepest and darkest depression--the Great Depression--a crisis far worse than the Panic of 1907 by orders of magnitude.
Since the creation of the Fed, we have lurched from boom to bust time and again as financial crisis has followed financial crisis. By any objective measure, the Fed has failed to achieve the stated objectives of its founding. Today, our economic imbalances are extreme and compounding and approaching a day of reckoning. Another financial collapse looms and casts a dark shadow over our future. Under the stewardship of the Federal Reserve, further hardship for our struggling middle class is certain and inevitable.
It doesn't have to be this way.
Drawing heavily from the writings and ideas of Benjamin Franklin, Alfred Owen Crozier and Carroll Quigley, "The Tyranny of the Federal Reserve" looks back on how we got here and forward to a brighter future through monetary reform.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 27, 2023I was looking for a long time, taking University Economics courses, trying to find the answers as to what causes economic crashes and what is the best policy to avoid it. This book hits a home run ! Taking power away from corrupt Bankers and giving it to the people is the only Avenue for a sane monetary system. I would recommend that this book be taught in every School and University in the World.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 30, 2024I always wanted to know more about how our monetary system works or doesn’t. The author explains this and much more. A must read for our leadership and all citizens interested in the problems with our economy.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 4, 2015It's time Americans woke up and see the massive scheme to sap the money from the people and give it to international bankers. Fractional reserve banking has been since Roman times the cause of booms and busts. Usury was the reason for many problems in European history as crooks aka bankers fleeced the people. The old adage 'Never a lender nor a borrower be' obviously warns all of us about the greed of money lenders ....Instead of paying interest on national debt to further enrich the ultra-wealthy cartel of international bankers, create a new money issued by our own monetary council with transparency and accountability to the people? Outlaw fractional reserve banking is another great idea that would end the 'business cycle'....This book is definitely worth reading, even though I would have liked to see the author free interest rates from anyone's control..... I would also like to see the United Nations rejected, as it is the rallying ground of the one-world-governance. The IMF and World Bank should not be supported by our tax monies, as they are shills for the banking cartel...
- Reviewed in the United States on July 11, 2023The writing flows easily and lists points or steps of what is needed to set a new course for The New Republic. While I was aware of a lot of the information seeing someone offer new steps toward a new economy free of IRS, the Federal Reserve and the banking network.
Stop and think about what inflation has done to burden families struggling to keep food on the table and a roof over their heads. The Federal Reserve (a private corporation) just keeps plowing ahead to their goal, not for the good of the people who make up this country.
When reading is complete many should have opened their mind to the financial slavery that exists in the USA.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 4, 2023This book is exceptional. The author clearly outlines the history of corruption that has taken over our country. A must read for all concerned about how we got to this condition in America.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 3, 2023Holy smokes, full disclosure after reading this, you're going to be very upset with your government, financial institutions, and most of all the federal reserve but I found the book very informative. It is not an easy read mostly because you get so angry you have to put the book down a couple of times.

Älskar boken, är väldigt bra skrivit med så mycket information om samhället och banksystemet och allt som ingen skrev än. Hjärtligt rekommenderar för alla att läsa för att kunna förstå varför världen och politiken är som den är.

Once I started I couldn't stop. Informative, broad and easy to read.
Not part of the school curriculum by design

Ashwin RanaReviewed in the United Kingdom on April 10, 20202.0 out of 5 stars WW2 Chapter inaccuracies
I enjoyed parts of this book but unfortunately the inaccuracies in the chapter title "The tyranny of WW2" have taken this review from 4 to 2 stars because it brings into question the integrity of the entire book.
Notably the pages around the battle of Normandy were full of inaccuracies and more frustratingly very very lazy assumptions. The chapter in itself is poor a lot of repetition and superfluous information.
I'd suggest going for alternative.
