This was interesting to read and the photography was great. I used a couple of quotes for a genealogy I am working on. Most of the book is about the Catholic Irish emigrants and I am researching those in Northern Ireland, but there was much of interest.

Using letters to tell the story of Irish emigration is such a good idea. Loved all of this DVD. Learned a great deal..

I was familiar with both the book and the video of the same name, but wanted my own copy of the book. I was not disappointed with this purchase nor with the quick delivery. Many thanks.

I found the hardcover edition of this book in a local used book store. I loved it, even though my Irish ancestors came to this country before the famine of 1845. I really loved the use of letters the immigrants wrote to family and friends back in Ireland. I kept hoping my ancestors would be listed. I enjoy reading books that document experiences my ancestors might have gone through.. I will definitely add this book to my library!
