By Robert T. Nicholson on August 26, 2002
Format: Paperback
This book is a compendium of information sources for artists. It provides long, categorized lists of websites on a range of topics, including art techniques, individual artists, and even copyright law. It also covers non-Internet resources, such as libraries and museum exhibit catalogs. The Internet resources listed are already becoming dated... a real problem putting this type of information in a printed book. Still, there's some useful information on search methodologies that will work even if sites move and change.
The focus of the material presented is very academic. This book will be more useful to a scholarly researcher than a practicing artist or art patron.
