As a non - American, this book in my humble opinion is a " must read " for anyone who wants to know the historical and ieological transformation of American Conservatism from " the 1950's traditionalism " to the current so- called " contemporary conservatism " which can in essence be describe as: agressive, hawkish neo - conservatism ....whereby the primary role of U.S. is to spread it's brand of " democracy " to the world. The sad thing is that there is no longer any room, in the current " Conservative Movement " for people with differing views or opinions.
