Editorial Reviews
From the Publisher
Robert O. Day weaves magic into the history of these pioneers with finesse and historical accuracy. His book "The Enoch Train Pioneers", allows you to not only read the history, but also the stories and journal entries of how they felt . A must read book for anyone interested in pioneer history.
From the Author
There is as great a need as ever to put a shoulder to the wheel and do our part, and a source of great spiritual energy can be found in learning of the trials and triumphs of our ancestors, the early pioneers. The men and women who lived this page in the Book of Eternity, have all now graduated from the cares of mortality, taking with them the lessons of this life as a guide for living in eternity. It is my hope that those who read these pages may understand and cherish what these early Saints endured to provide their posterity with a hope for the future and a blessing of freedom.
About the Author

Way too many quotes of previous works by the author based on conjecture.
There is some valuable original material but seems like 50% of the book is fiction.
Illustrations are not pioneer authentic. Not correct clothing for the time period, fashion faux pas's. incorrectly worn clothing.
5 for accurate information
1 for fiction and incorrect information and illustrations. AND for making the statement that handcarts carried 800-900 pounds. Pure balderdash. they were breaking down all the time with a normal 100-200 pound load, they would have flattened like a pancake with 900 pounds and who in the world would pull that load in sand with a handcart falling apart?!
get some experience with it and you will see.
