Review

If you are serious about Acadian-Cajun genealogy then you need to have it in your software library. It is not primary or secondary data, but it will probably help you to find those lines that have had you stuck. If you had a name that doesn't appear in your lineage till you get back to 1700, you probably didn't spend a lot of time on it. Well, that might be the focus of someone else's work. But remember, don't change your data till you check their sources. -- Tim Hebert's acadian-cajun web site, August 1999

The CD contains a vast amount of information on Acadian and Cajun ancestors...

Persons 603,220
Events 1,215,259
Places 135,859
Citations 1,584,727

This is more than just a database. The CD comes ready to use, complete with it's own software which is lineage linked. You need nothing other than this CD to use, display and print individual or family information from your PC/printer.

Search the database to find a person you are interested in, display or print charts of ancestry, descendants, family groups and more. You can also clip bits or whole sections out of the data base, export it as a GEDCOM file and then either use it alone or import it into your family records in any popular genealogical software.

Another thumbs up for Progeny Software! This information CD and it's operating software makes an extremely sound package. Big points are deserved for producing the CD as a stand-alone product, and even more points for making it intuitive and easy to use. -- Global Gazette, July 27, 1999

From the Publisher

With over 600,000 lineage-linked records on one, easily searchable CD, the Acadian-Cajun Family Trees CD is an important research resource for anyone doing Acadian-Cajun research. Anyone with Acadian roots has an excellent chance of finding ancestral clues that can shed light on informational gaps in their genealogy database.

We know of no other single source where anyone can access a comparable number of Acadian-Cajun descendant records.

System Requirements:
Windows 95, 98 or NT; 486 CPU or better; 8 MB free hard disk space; CD ROM drive. No other software is required.
