Genes, Giants, Monsters, and Men: The Surviving Elites of the Cosmic War and Their Hidden Agenda Paperback – May 3, 2011
Purchase options and add-ons
Consider the possibility that the history of the human race is not as simple as what has been taught in classroom textbooks. Consider the possibility that the evolutionary scientific explanation for mankind has ignored critical facts that are buried deep within the fossils and mankind's DNA. Consider the possibility that the religious stories that have often been the core basis for mankind's understanding of where it belongs in the history of creation may actually reveal a planet occupied with tyrannical giants and an elite highly intelligent race bent on genetic mutation.
As horrifying as such possibilities are, Genes, Giants, Monsters, and Men sets forth a plausible theory revealing a hidden history of mankind and a possible reason that it has remained veiled for hundreds of thousands of years. With his well-documented style and breathtaking conclusions, Dr. Joseph P. Farrell pulls back the veil and takes the reader on an odyssey behind the mysterious history and myths of the human race.
Joseph P. Farrell is a recognized scholar whose credentials include a PhD in philosophy from the University of Oxford. His literary contribution is a veritable resumé unto itself covering such fields as Nazi Germany, sacred literature, physics, finances, the Giza pyramids, and music theory. A renowned researcher with an eye to assimilate a tremendous amount of background material, Farrell is able to condense the best scholastic research in publication and draw insightful new conclusions on complex and controversial subjects.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 8, 2011Thank you Mr. Farrell for your fantastic scholarship, dedication, and clear writing. I got the kindle version of this book, and once I got into it I could barely put it down. In fact, I used Kindle's computer voice to read most of it to me so I could listen while doing a bunch of other things. Then I got his "Giza Death Star, Destroyed and did the same thing. I discovered Mr. Farrell's work through cross referencing with other talented writers such as Graham Hancock, Robert Bauval, John Major Jenkins, John Anthony West, Sitchen, and many others. Mr. Farrell excels at critical analysis of complementary texts and information, using disciplined logic to understand and accurately interpret various language structures, symbols, and oral traditions. To fully benefit from all this great research you really need to read a bunch of books, from him and other people. However, if you can't, you won't go wrong starting with this one since it's recent and benefits from all the previous research he has done. Ancient stories tell us an extraordinary story, vast in scope both in geography and time, culminating in right now, our current chaotic world state. To put it simply; it's very clear now to many that there MUST have been a very advanced civilization long before Egypt, and they left behind an incredibly sophisticated knowledge of what can only be described a kind of cosmic physics, "hyperdimensional", involving matter and consciousness, and understood the link between awareness, and the universe. This knowledge is so vast, that it's embedded in a large array of textual, architectural, artistic, and linguistic systems from around the globe that go back 10's of thousands of years, at least. Clearly, long ago some people knew how to tap into amazing states of awareness and vision, and create massive structures all around the world using that precise knowledge. And these ancient people clearly knew a lot about math, astronomy, our solar system and beyond... they even knew profound psychological principles and were keenly aware of the importance of genetics, breeding, etc. These very ancient myths that we have inherited from Egypt, India ( far east ), Australia, Sumeria, and the Americas were very old even at the time ( at least up to 4,000 BCE ) of those civilizations, and were passed down for millennia, often by oral tradition and complex writing systems such as hieroglyphs. Much information was totally lost, some has been rediscovered. But, no wonder they seem bizarre for us. Fortunately for all of us, along come people like Mr. Farrell and modern technology, access to records, translations, and world travel, and the picture is getting very clear, at least to me. Our ancient history is truly incredible and we know so very little about it. It's breathtaking to get even a glimpse, and this series of books is really eye-popping. Let's just say, whatever you think about ancient history and religion, put it on the table for a minute, take a deep breath, and listen. Your head will spin around a few times each way, then you'll want to buy another one of these books. and don't forget the other authors as well. If you find my reviews useful, it's nice to know.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 24, 2011This latest release from Farrell continues his Cosmic War line of investigations into the history of the Earth and humankind. The text is 239 pages and a Bibliography. The primary theme of the book is to start with the assumption of the Cosmic War, and follow the leads available to discern the agenda (or agendas) of the surviving "elites" of that war, and lay the groundwork for further detailed examination of this topic and the ramifications it holds for us today.
As usual, Farrell executes his task brilliantly. There are very, very few thinkers or authors who can comb through evidence and data, view each piece with balance, and carefully craft a solid, defensible argument of the caliber that Farrell does on a regular basis. I apologize for sounding like some simple fanboy, but I am appreciative of, and impressed by, the quality of Farrell's thought process - something extremely rare in this day of Public Relations, the evening news, and mass media designed to entertain 6 year olds (and not very bright 6 year olds at that...)
The book covers such diverse areas as ancient texts, ancient stories and legends from different parts of the world, genetics - old and new, archeological anomalies, modern electronic and related mind control, electromagnetic weapons, the discovery of "the Megalithic yard," and so on.
Farrell sorts, sifts, and synthesizes the evidence of a surviving elite to piece together a solid argument, not only for their existence, but for their possible agenda(s) for the twists and turns our history has taken. Along the way, he frequently touches on and incorporates evidence I, too, have encountered in my studies, and weaves that data into a neat and tidy framework.
I was particularly glad to see his assessment of the work of Thom, Knight, and Butler on the Megalithic Yard, a perplexing piece of historical measurement which ties together not only ancient lands widely separated, but also links our modern measures, both metric and English, to each other as well as constants on the planet and in the solar system. His condensation of the work of Knight and Butler on Thom's original discovery alone is worth the read. ( I also recommend their book, "Civilization One.") That one set of data turns our "standard model" of history completely inside out.
I was also intrigued by his delving into genetics and the study of mitochondrial DNA and how that has drastically changed our knowledge about the migrations of peoples in history. Again, Farrell does an excellent job of distilling the information down to essential details and analyzing the implications.
One other thing he mentions which should give us all pause is the recent legal situation where genetically engineered species have become Intellectual Property - i.e. the "property" of the creator of such species. If it turns out that humans are indeed genetically engineered, and that is extremely likely, that means we may be in for a huge court battle if our "owners" ever decide to press their claim. Food for serious thought (and definitely no joking matter, slave), especially in light of the current behavior of the "visible" elites of today's world.
Very readable, thought provoking, and highly recommended, as are all Farrell's books.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 19, 2017While a bit dense at times, Farrell’s book is intriguing and unconventional. Farrell’s book is out-of-the-box thinking but it is good to expand your imagination occasionally. “Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand,” said Albert Einstein.
[I]f one reads certain ancient texts from Sumeria or India, one encounters over and over such characters, whether gods or men, engaged in a titanic struggle for power that ultimately resulted in a “cosmic war,” and its aftermath. Yet, if one is to believe the ancient stories, the monsters and giants and manipulations remained after that war was over, scattering themselves along with some of the technology by which it was fought, yet doing so with no consistency... implies a hidden agenda (or agendas) behind each version of the story (pg. xii).

'Giants, Genes, Monsters and Men' only whet my appetite for more of the same wonderful topics by this talented researcher,of which I've already made quite a hole in. Giants have always fascinated me and this book is no exception; it scrolls down the usual list of archaeological digs, (Lovelock cave, etc) but this author is well versed in biblical accounts which holds a real interest for me with accordance to historical fact, literature and mythology- giving a well- rounded scope on these enormous beings and their place in the human psyche.

Joseph Farrell is a wonderful researcher and writes a book one can sink their teeth into. I take brief pauses for consideration, while reading his books. Wonderful, I loved it.

A deep study of the origins of man, giants, manipulation of DNA, cosmic war, myths and legends of the tribes, a sophisticated civilization existing in high antiquity and suppression of archaeological evidence of this history. The probability of an elite race that may be only partially human walking amoung us. Well presented but heavily quoted from other works. Lots to keep you interested here though.
