- Reviewed in the United States on August 22, 2015A timely call to action to transform many of our faulty beliefs and habits concerning the care of our land and resource usage. I took rather longer reading this book than I normally would. I found myself looking ahead at times, and frequently referring back to things already covered. I believed that it was only a matter of time before we found that in many ways we are the cause of our own bad fortune. We have been sold an expensive lie that we should obtain a better lawn through chemistry. I remain confident that things that we use or take for granted will eventually be identified as the source of many ills and mental problems that plague our generation. Thanks to Diane Lewis for explaining that much of our unhealthy environment lies just outside our doorways. She also clearly outlines what we can and should do about it. As an author myself, I found that her writing style made a difficult subject easy and enjoyable to read. However, much of the material deserves, almost demands, a second look. Then, in the refrain of an old song, we have to clean up our own backyard.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 2, 2016Did not provide new or helpful information and was somewhat superficial.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 30, 2014The word "Project" in the title led me to believe this is a guide for growing and maintaining an organic lawn. But the book is more of a manifesto than a practical resource. I had buyer's remorse the moment I opened it.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 12, 2017Great assessment of how our infatuation with lawns may also be impacting our health in a negative way. It is possible to have a great, healthy lawn while minimizing impacts.
