The 2019 novel Corona Virus, now COVID-19, stole global headlines in the opening months of 2020, and its many impacts are still to play out. The common adage, “If the US sneezes, the world catches a cold” is now demonstrable in a multiplicity of ways, but it is China that has sneezed.

This anthology provides insight into the nature of global pandemics such as SARS, MERS, Ebola and HIV/AIDs, then focuses on Wuhan, where COVID-19 broke out -- though patient zero is as yet unknown. It examines the massive effort that China has undertaken since the outbreak to contain its spread, and includes personal stories of the first lockdown experiences.

But the impact may be even more grave on the global economy than it is on global health. National and international analysts address the economic impact both within China's industrial heartland and on global business, as borders close, entire regions are on lockdown, world airlines cancel flights, major US corporations in China shut their doors, factory floors empty. and global supply chains break down, millions lose their jobs and small businesses tank.. Stocks and the prices of gold and oil are impacted.

Soon after the COVID-19 outbreak was announced and the extraordinary quarantine response by China was effected, it was learned that Event 201, a global coronavirus pandemic simulation was held just months earlier, in which a global coronavirus pandemic killed 65 million people. Many questions arise concerning BIg Pharma's push for vaccines, and the mainstream dismissal of the possibility of alternative treatments such as HCQ.

Other disturbing questions have arisen: Has the disruption been overblown to inflict damage on China as part of a trade war? On the United States, which faces massive damage to its economy in the midst of an increasingly bitter political divide? What are the biowarfare implications –in the Wuhan instance, where China's first BSL-4 level laboratory is situated, or in the future in general, given the spread of BSL-4 level laboratories worldwide and most extensively the US, as states and private entities conduct research into germ warfare, including the use of bat-generated viruses, for both offensive and defensive purposes, putting the entire world at risk of accidental leakage or worse?

Is this truly a pandemic -- or is it a plandemic, and if so, to what end? What are the likely consequences, intended and not.

When China Sneezes: From the Coronavirus Lockdown to the Global Politico-Economic Crisis edited by the once U.S. Congresswoman and Green Party nominee for President of the United States, Dr. Cynthia McKinney, presents the “Big Picture” of what the current pandemic is all about. With McKinney’s smart collection of writers who present the medical information about the virus, without being overly technical; the origins and history of this virus, and similar others; the viruses relationship to the governing institutions of the United States; and the coronavirus’s misuses and questionable outcomes concerning global control makes this book an extremely compelling read. All of the selected writers and McKinney herself are brave. They are exploring and presenting data that is unavailable in most mainstream outlets where the American people expect to find out the happenings in our country and throughout the world. Let me be even clearer: this book does not just cover the current virus and its disruption of society and monstrously numerous deaths-no- it takes us on a trail of historical viruses measuring what happened then to what is happening now as we walk towards a future of whether or not we the people allow scientific research that fails to benefit our local and worldwide populace or we the people work towards making foundational decisions that urge or force our leaders to make choices that benefit us and our world. For all thinkers concerned about climate change, economics, wealth distributions-and not-health and humanity, this book is a serious must read.

It is a compilation of many authors -very informative. Cynthia was always VERY HONEST, that is why she lost her seat in Congress UNJUSTLY. I knew that and that is why I bought her book-costs me $17 for mailing from Kentucky, strange. Similarly a book by Dr. Vernon Coleman was sent from Orlando (100 miles or so ) to TX , hard to figure why and it took over a week through PRIME on a 30 day trial to travel to Dallas , TX only to return to Fl.

Since I noticed CENSORSHIP on AMAZON , i normally stopped commenting , but I had to for Cynthia , she did a great job.

Like most anthologies, this is a mixed bag, but I found it a worthwhile read overall. I was looking for a non-mainstream book on the 2020 virus panic, and this fit the bill. I've always liked the political bravery of Cynthia McKinney, so that was a big selling-point as well. Some of the essays focus on the virus and its origins. Most seem to suggest that the virus originated in biowarfare research with some suggesting ultimately that the United States military/pharmaceutical complex is to blame. None of the authors seem to blame China as much, and early in the book I wondered if I was reading some Chinese Communist propaganda, but the later essays were more balanced. For a rush job, the editing was pretty good, except that they seem to inadvertently out one of the anonymous authors (to respect what remains of the author's anonymity, I won't explain how but if you read the book and pay attention closely you'll likely notice it as well). Nevertheless, the book raises a few topics about the virus that merit attention such as McKinney herself's investigation into race/ethnic specific genetic engineering in biowarfare. The best essays come at the end. Gary Barnett's essay argues that the virus is the result of some New World Order conspiracy. He is astute at tying disparate facts together and makes an intriguing case, but I would have liked more evidence to sway me from my current conclusion about the virus panic and its subsequent disastrous consequences that much of the world is simply governed by morons (the conspiracy theory interpretation is somewhat reassuring in that explains that someone somewhere knows what they are doing even if they are evil scumbags; my conclusion is ultimately more terrifying). My favorite essay was by Helen Buyniski since her writing has more style than most of the rest of the essays, which can border on the dry and academic. Her mix of wit with thought-provoking ideas and her naming of names in her evidence for her claims led the collection to a strong finish (though hers is but the penultimate essay). Overall, I am glad I read this anthology, and I will likely keep it on hand to refer to at least until the virus panic subsides. It reminds me of the early, brave nonmainstream book responses to the War On Terror. When most people around one seem to be going crazy and overreacting to an otherwise manageable situation, it's nice to know that some others still have some sense to question the strange things going on around them as well.

O boy, where to begin with this collection of drivel, lies and disinformation. Waited a long time to get this on Kindle, and after reading it, I disappointed more American's have lost the ability to discern, the difference between complete nonsense and truth

You'll know and recognize the chapters as all the lies, misinformation, and conspiracy theory's circulating on the Internet. But wait, it's now offered here in one book!

Covid-Cornona vaccines that have micro-chips so the government can track us! Oh my gosh, when did they invent a microchip this small? And don't ask why they'd do this in the first place when we all have smart phones that already track us, at any minute of the day. I'd love to know how a pharmacy managed to get it loaded with all my personal information, moments before I showed up to get the shot?

And the kindly Chinese--PRC government. They're such a kind, compassionate government that 'knows' the stupid, evil American's really created this virus and shipped it to China so we could ruin their plan for world domination with manufactured goods. How dare we accuse them of starting the pandemic.

The editor that assembled this pile of nonsense should be ashamed she ever put her name with it and I suggest she move to China. Please just leave the country, since we already have a ample supply of gullible people that glance at a headline and think it's true and factual.
