Still trying to establish himself as a comedy actor, Hulk Hogan proves he's a one-joke pony in this limp comedy about spoiled rich kids. He takes a job working for computer genius Austin Pendleton, whose kids have practical-joked themselves out of every nanny their dad has hired. The Hulkster comes in for the same treatment: electric shocks that stand his sparse blond hair on end, bowling balls to the noggin--in other words, the full Home Alone treatment. But when dad's villainous nemesis (David Johansen) tries to kidnap the kids, it's Hulk to the rescue, and then it's the kids' turn to rescue him, using their naughtiness to good advantage. --Marshall Fine

Hulk Hogan delivers in these comedy films.

Mr. Nanny and Suburban Commando have that late 80s early 90s appeal that many miss in movies these days. Yes, they have cheesy parts (maybe too many) but that just adds to the greatness.

Whatcha gonna do brother when Suburban Commando and Mr. Nanny run wild on your DVD player?

I love these old movies that I grew up watching. They are cheesy, but to this 80/90's kid they take me back to 1995 standing inside a video store filled with video tapes. Then I would rent these movies and take them home and watch them. Afterwards, I would tear up some Nintendo!!

Subrbuan Commando is a dorky movie from the early 90's at its best. Was at a stop light one day, and I kid you not. ONE car got through the light. Shortest light I've ever seen in my life. It reminded me of the final of this movie and I looked it up and got it. Yeah, it's pretty lame. But, I was 8 when I watched it, and guess what. My 5, 8, and 11 year old loved it. My wife was laughing and complaining how dumb it was the entire time.

Haven't watched (and don't know if I remember) Mr. Nanny yet. But the combo pack was cheaper than buying Suburban Commando by itself.

A little bit too slapsticky comedy for my tastes yet ultimately enjoyable. Hulk Hogan takes on a whole new dimension of character as a reluctant Nanny who must tame 2 very recalcitrant, too big for their britches children. His patience and perseverence however, eventually wins them over and they are effectively able to work together to bring the children's father's nemesis to justice.

I originally wanted Suburban Commando but for the same price, I got Mr. Nanny as well. Nice deal. If you ask me why I love Suburban Commando so much, I'd be at a loss of words to explain. I just do! It's funny without being gross or filled with words that would embarass a drunken sailor! As for Mr. Nanny, it's okay but nothing to "write home about". I think Hogan over played his part a bit but acting isn't his career of choice. They're both worth seeing but I really recommend Suburban Commando. It's a family film that should keep everyone laughing.

This movie rules. Had it on VHS now on DVD. Hulk does it again but this time as Mr. Nanny. Normally was hired as a body guard and then turned body guard/nanny. The movie was great, the plot feels like Problem child meets Home Alone but during the daytime. the 2 kids were good, the father looked iffy but good, and Hulk Hogan in a Tutu. Can't beat that and don't forget Mr. Jefferson as Hulk's manager Bert. No cussing in this that I can remember listening to so a great film for the family. All-in-all, worth the money and the time to watch.

--------------------------------------------------

Normally when Warner Bros., which owns New Line, puts out a Double/Triple/Quadruple Feature of previously-released material, they simple use the disc images from those previously-released DVDs to make new dual-sided DVDs. For an example of this, look at any of their "Four Film Favorites" titles, or even the 2009 single-disc re-release of Miss Congeniality 1 & 2. I figured that would be the case with this double feature, but I was wrong.

Instead of containing copies of the two previously-released DVDs, this single-sided, dual-layer DVD contains both movies and nothing else. To make matters worse, the two films are presented in 4:3 Fullscreen ONLY! The individual DVDs of Mr. Nanny and Suburban Commando contain both 16:9 Anamorphic Widescreen & 4:3 Fullscreen (open matte) versions of each movie, along with each movie's Theatrical Trailer.
