I am biased but I really enjoyed this movie. My bias comes from the fact that I was a police officer in the Playa Del Rey area of Los Angeles in the 1970's and it really brought back fun memories. It seems like all we did on weekends was respond to "Loud Party " calls. Upon arrival we would encounter a hundred teenagers that very much resembled the characters in this movie. It really was an accurate portrailal but I really hope I wasn't like Officer "Dixie Cup" Dean!.....I am sure the kids probably thought ideas EXACTLY like him.

At any rate it was a trip down memory lane for me and reminds me how innocent the issues were back then as opposed to today. Certainly not Shakespeare, but a fun romp from that era.

1st of all...Great Music! The hierarchy of adolescence friendship is set right from the start, and through the beer, good times, babes, ganja & the ole' schnappster.. we see at the end of the movie Hubbs loses the role of supreme leader & Michael Kopelow finally comes out of his shell... because of his love or (lust) for his new girl. Brings back a lot of good memories! To everyone that had their own version of "the torpedo"... Here's to ya!!

This movie is ALOT like "Dazed And Confused", but with a better script. It doesn't have an All-Star cast like Dazed, but the hilarity of the plot more than makes up for it !! If you grew up in the 70's, or have lived a party lifestyle at some point this movie is a must for your collection. Grace Slick's (From Jefferson Airplane, Starship) daughter China plays in this movie along with Bradford Tatum (Down Periscope), and a few others to round out the scheme. I "Personally" Guarantee you'll laugh yourself senseless !!

Awesome buddy comedy. Lots of classic lines, great characters (Tak rules!), 70s rock soundtrack, and tallboy Ox 45 beer. Comparisons to "Dazed & Confused" aren't appropriate, "the Stoned Age" is a much goofier film closer to a Cheech & Chong type film. Great party movie!

Bought this for my son who is a huge Blue Oyster Cult fan. Cheap too. BTW the quiet girl roommate is China Kantner daughter of Grace Slick and Paul Kantner of Jefferson Airplane fame.

It's along the lines of Dazed and Confused and basically a good, lazy, rainy-day movie. The acting is not much except for China Kantner (Jill) who seems very at ease and sophisticated in her style, compared to the other "actors."
