This debut album prodded many critics to sit up and listen. To start, it wasn't the kind of music that categorized easily, but it was also far too interesting to ignore with its combination of glam rock pomposity, sleazy Vegas-style lounge, and a solid backbone of straight-up rock & roll. --Paul Clark

I love it. It's fun, ridiculous glam rock. My copy came a little bent at the corners, but it it's a nice heavy vinyl disc, 180grams.
The problem is the last two songs skip! I've cleaned it a bunch and even increased the weight for the needle. be nice to exchange it.
Update: Amazon sent me a new one, but that on still skipped on the songs Sea Breezes, and Bitters End. It's very frustrating, but after cleaning that side vigorously i got it down to one hitch.
The Label is listed incorrectly on Amazon's website; the version being sold is the Virgin "From the Capitol Vaults" reissued in 2008. The sleeve is thick and heavy, and the print job looks excellent both inside the gatefold and out. The actual LP itself is a different story...
Right off the bat there is heavy noise, constant crackling like this a record from 1972 that has been played hard and put away dirty. Loud pops throughout side one and two, and my copy actually skipped several times on the second side. Not great for a new/MINT condition LP. After doing research, this seems to be a common problem with this particular reissue. And the mastering is just kind of dull, which is a shame considering how great the music is on this album.
So, all in all, this is a crappy pressing of an awesome album that deserves much, much better treatment. I suggest you seek out original copies from the 70s and stay away from this reissue.
The line up dictates this diversity in sound from the outstanding voice/ writing of Bryan Ferry, Brian Eno, treating all sounds on synthesizer, and then Phil Manzanita on guitar, outstanding" check out 801 Live with Eno, Manzanera, and Robert Fripp on bass round out this rock and roll quartets mystique and Cabaret to " LOVE IS THE DRUG!!, Remake Remodel is good early Roxy, they only got better with Country Life, and all the individual band member albums...Eno 's
