Product Description

They've got the adrenaline rush and the mean machines, but most of all, they've got the extreme need for speed. On the turbo-charged streets of Los Angeles, every night is a championship race. With nitro-boosted fury, Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel), rules the road turning all his challengers into dust. He and his rival, Johnny Tran (Rick Yune) are the boldest, the baddest and the best. But now, there's new rage on the road. They know he's tough, they know he's fast, but what they don't know is that he's a speed demon detective (Paul Walker) with enough drive and determination to come out the winner. With intense full-throttle action, awesome high-speed stunts, and full-on pedal to the metal intensity, this fast and furious assault puts you in the driver's seat and dares you to exceed all limits.

Additional Features

There's a refreshing modesty to Rob Cohen's matter-of-fact commentary track, which contains one of the more practical dissections of direction voiced on DVD as it covers a mix of nuts-and-bolts filmmaking and cinematic thrill making. And why not? The Fast and the Furious is a sleek, unapologetic speed-demon buddy film, and the collector's-edition disc gleefully revels in the rush. Skip the "making of" featurette puff piece and cut to the visual-effects montage of the film's opening race: behind-the-scenes footage, raw photography, rough computer effects, and storyboards are intercut with the finished scene to give a whirlwind production overview. Other revealing supplements include an eight-camera multi-angle look at the climactic 360-degree flip stunt and an enlightening five-minute featurette about the film's editors shaving the film down to a PG-13 frame by frame, which says more about the MPAA than any danger this film poses to our unprotected youth. --Sean Axmaker

a fast paced movie with a little for everyone. this one has the fast cars the women and gives in to the extended family and had bigotry behind the s Not suitable for children under the age of 13 because of the foul language and it glorifies crime and the escape is pushing the street machines to the limit. It shows our men and women who serve on the force as either a officer, sheriff, state trooper, FBI, or CIA, as a joke. I know its
just a movie but with todays youth they receive a lot of their ideas on movies like this one.

I ORDERED THIS ITEM PREVIOUSLY VIEWED FROM ONE OF THE SELLERS. IT ARRIVED IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. ALL THREE DISCS WAS IN IT'S CASE, AND IT'S DIGITAL COPY CODE WAS IN IT ALSO. IT CAME GOOD AS NEW, JUST AS IF I BOUGHT IT IN AN ELECTRONICS STORE. BUT, A LOT CHEAPER BECAUSE I BOUGHT IT USED. WHAT I HIGHLY RECOMMEND WHEN BUYING USED DVD AND BLU-RAY MOVIES, IS TO LOOK AT THE CONDITION EACH SELLER HAS IT IN AND THEIR COMMENTS TO MAKE SURE THE PRODUCT IS TO YOUR LIKING. I WOULD AIM FOR IT'S CONDITION TO BE GOOD, VERY GOOD, OR LIKE NEW. FOR THE COMMENTS, I WOULD MAKE SURE THAT THE PRODUCT HAS IT'S CASE AND ARTWORK, AND EVEN IT'S DIGITAL CONTENT, SO IT WOULD ARRIVE JUST LIKE I GOT IN THE STORE. I WOULD AVOID PRODUCTS THAT'S IN ACCEPTABLE CONDITION. UNLESS I DIDN'T MIND IT NOT COMING WITH ITS CASE AND ARTWORK, AND ITS DIGITAL COPY AND CODE. BUT, IN THE OTHER CONDITIONS SPECIFIED, IT SHOULD ARRIVE GOOD AS NEW. I HAD GREAT SATISFACTION WITH THIS ITEM, DUE TO MY EXPERIENCE WITH PURCHASING USED DVD AND BLU-RAY MOVIES. YOU CAN TOO! HAVE A GOOD DAY, AND A HAPPY THANKSGIVING.

One of my guilty pleasure films, and after Paul Walker's passing, it's like seeing an old friend and family again. Yes, the racing and the car talk is a bit unrealistic, and sure there's plot holes all over. But despite those faults, it gave us a feel of the burgeoning import car scene, allowed us to care about the characters, and made stars out of Walker, Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, and Jordana Brewster. That this film series still has legs coming into the seventh (and Walker's last movie in the role) film is a testament on what this series has evolved from.

Fantastically modern in its multi-cultural clan/cast and its transitions, all the basics of the series are laid out here as we meet the Toretto family & friends, as well as our good-hearted, love-struck cop O'Brien (Paul Walker) in the underground street racing scene in Los Angeles. The music, the look of the film, the portrayals, even 12 years (and 5 sequels, with a 6th being filmed now) later, this film looks, sounds and feels like something entirely new: an arch-type for the 21st century enfolds through the course of this exciting, entertaining film. Vin Diesel quite rightly became a star with this film: he holds and propels the story to a whole other level. A triumph.

This movie kept me engaged and my family loved it all the way through. Interesting plot, awesome cars and great actors and scenery. This is the first in the series and I enjoyed watching especially to get the background of the characters relationships. I watched this movie through the Prime service and it was easy to find and download. It pretty much was an instant download on my tv. It ran smoothly with no hiccups during the movie play.

the film was more than I expected since I only knew Vin Diesel and nobody else. I had low expectations but after watching it I was very
pleasantly surprised. I am not sure that I would want to see all seven of the films, but I would probably want to see a few of them.

Steel boxes are the best for your favorite series. Me and me ma watch all of these together. I like Dom Torrero while me ma's partial to that good Irish lad, Brian O'Connell, God rest his soul. Ma's a sucker for the blue eyes from Paul Walker to Paul Newman.

It is so terribly sad that Paul Walker was taken away so early. Young wonderful actors passing away in their prime seems to be a pattern now. This movie is so action packed you can't leave the room for snacks while the movie is on because you don't want to miss anything, and you own the DVD!!! It's one of the movies you can watch over and over while you wait until the next movie comes out!!! I don't know how they are going to replace Paul, in this movie, and in his philanthropic causes. We've lost another angel.
