Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
a shooter style game so funny and campy. Too bad this wasn't made into a movie. It's better than Austin Powers in my opinion. There are some things in this game that almost seem AP could have borrowed from it. It is single player only. a blast from the past to play, Full of 60's mod stuff british lingo and 007 style spy gadgets. I've played it thru twice.
I played through this game when it was first released and have given over the years several copies to friends who are also gaming enthusiasts. I bought this copy for myself as a permanent replacement after having a 'remember when' conversation about favorite games with coworkers a few weeks ago. It came in the original box--obviously New Old Stock-- with the manual and a sweepstakes card from Alienware for a chance to win an Area 51 gaming laptop with a Celeron processor and 512MB of system RAM. Bear in mind this game was released in 2003. I plan on submitting that card to Dell and see if I win. I digress. The game is FPS in the spy spoof vein and is as I remember about a hundred hours of careful, thorough play-through time start to finish. Of course now the graphics are dated, but the game mechanics are intuitive and the learning curve is shallow.
Pros: Immersive, intelligently written story line with plenty of well-blended humor. Small install footprint. Current active fan base with plenty of mods and free DLC. Game of the year in 2003. Game plays well on 64-bit Win 7, 8, 10 systems
Cons: The game was designed for Win 98, 2000, XP 32-bit OS. Sierra Games is no more, so support is non-existent from the dev. You won't be able to register the game, add it to Steam or hop on a multiplayer server unless it's a LAN environment. Patches for the game are on fan sites, but beware of spyware. Game requires the primary disk in the drive to play.
I bought this came years ago and I have played it over and over and over because it is so good. Coming from the same people that brought you the game FEAR. To me this is a far better video game then FEAR though! It makes you laugh, its so much fun to play and there is so much to this game. I had scratched the first disk and was dead set on having the game again because of how good it was. Its compatible with Windows Versions XP, Vista and even the new Windows 7. All over a fantastic game!
Really enjoyed this classic FPS. Hardcore gamers wont be disappointed. i highly recommend purchasing. Graphics are great, story-line is solid (and not so short) , audio is excellent and the price is right.
