I got this tuner card and had nothing but problems. I didn't read the description properly and the Low Profile caused a headache for me from the very beginning. Also, I couldn't get the full drivers off the manufacturer's website without buying a $10 CD.

I would have forgiven those (even with the $10 CD, still a great price), if this card would have worked in the long run. This card is not supported to work with an ATSC (modern) Antenna. I found that on a chart included in a different Hauppauge listing on Amazon. So this card did not fulfill what I was wanting it to, but maybe it will be what you are looking for.

I've bought a Hauppauge HVR-2250 which will hopefully be what I was looking for.

Unfortunately it only has one Coax input and honestly, who uses s-video these days. I knew what I was buying though, this is pretty much your only choice if you have a small form factor case. The card itself works fine once you get through the driver installation process. Don't bother with the drivers on the CD that come with it. They FULLY don't work. Save yourself the frustration and download the latest drivers from the Hauppage website. The installation of those drivers is strange as well but they do work. WinTV Software that comes with the card is uber lame.

If you are into building your own Windows Media Center PC, this is the card for you.
Recommended by Intel and now by me.
Lots of features, highly compatible with every version of MCE and other media softwares out there.
Easy to use and install.
Hauppage has always been a very good manufacturer, so buy with confidence.
Pros: TV and FM Tuners (Analogs), PVR (Live TV Pausing)
Cons: A little outdated now

If you want to purchase this be ready to spend an additional $12.95 at the Hauppauge web store for the WinTV CD because you cannot download any drivers or updates without it. As far as the product itself I am waiting for the CD to be delivered. If it works good I will not update this review and if its a flop I will edit this review and give details. I will leave this at 1 star since they are selling half a product by not including the CD and not stating this in there description.

UPDATE

Had this about 5 months and it works fine in an old winxp comp. Wish I bought 2 at the price back then. Worth the extra money spent on software.

i can record my shows with pretty good picture quality with this card. i'm using it in a mini atx motherboard which has an intel chip inside a small low profile antec minuet case. so i needed a low profile card. I'm running mythbuntu and using this to record TV from cable. so i have a free small form factor DVR now using this card. this seems to be the most recommended card for mythbuntu/mythtv on ubuntu systems. i wouldn't deviate to much from the tried and true with these linux distros. I'm still working to get another digital recorder card to work. so just some advice for linux users. but just a plug for mythtv, it works very well and has a nice interface.

Not quite what I had wanted, but seems to be adequate.

It works great, but I had a hard time figuring out how it works, not enough information is sent with the product. I had to call their tech department and once they told me how to configure it I finally was able to enjoy watchin tv in my computer and programming to record my favorite shows while I am at work.
Really enjoy the tv tuner recorder

This card did not fit into my computer case (a typical, medium sized desktop computer). The card is the "Low profile" version. I am not sure, but I think that means its meant to fit in those new vcr-shaped livingroom media center PCs. I plan to return this and buy the non-lowprofile version.
