This sauce is all kinds of hot, but not in the way that you might expect.
See, most sauces use vinegar or some other water soluble liquid to turn their concoction into a pourable sauce. Vinegar easily washes off the tongue inside of mouth. Meaning curing the burn is usually just a glass of water (or milk) away with many cheap sauces, lookin' at you Franks Red Hot.
Ultimate insanity on the other hand uses oil.
This means two things, the less important one being that there are 5 fat calories per serving due to the high oil content. The more important fact however is that oil is much harder to get out of ones mouth and off the lips than vinegar or water. Because of this Ultimate Insanity sauce slowly builds heat until it reaches intolerable levels, at which point there not an awful lot you can other then tough it out and hope you still have taste buds when it's over. On top of that if spilled on skin or left on sides of mouth this stuff will burn in the literal sense.
As far as taste goes, it's rich and not too peppery.
Highly recommended to any heat heads out there...

This hot sauce is without question, certifiable insanity. I'm a hot sauce enthusiast, I can eat raw jalapenos and long hot peppers and Tabasco with very little trouble. THIS stuff however, is not hot sauce, it's bottled fire. I kid you not, this stuff literally burns. Don't think you can just use it as a kind of dip or cover your plate with it, you will die. It smells pretty bad, but it's not like an odor or stench, just really unappealing. Flavor wise, I'm not sure I know what it actually tastes like because all I tasted was heat. The moment it hits your tongue it's like soldering iron. I poured some into a glass, dipped a small part of a fork into it, just enough to lightly coat the tines, then I put the fork into a big bowl of lentil soup and stirred it thoroughly. I felt a kick in each spoon and when I finished the soup it felt like I had swallowed 20 packs of tic tacs, oh yeah, and fire!

5 stars for honest marketing. This stuff will burn. I'm scared to use it and I don't know what you can really use it for unless you're a masochist or your digestive system is covered with wax.

This hot sauce is no joke! I honestly believe the more you use this sauce in a short period of time the hotter the burning sensation will be, I learned this the hard way. I also read on the label that this sauce must be diluted before usage, too bad I had been using this sauce as is before reading that label. I bought this item along with Dave's Scorpion and Naga Jalakia Ghost Pepper sauces, I have definitely spiced up almost every dish that I have consumed thus far. It may come in a small bottle, but the substance in that small bottle isn't going to be finished up anytime soon.

I feel as though i may have lost my taste buds the first time I tried this stuff. This isn't any ordinary hot sauce you can sprinkle on your pizza. This is concentrated habanero sauce!! The extract was hot enough to make you want to cry, but now it is but only a whimper of what it use to be.

Don't get me wrong, it is still VERY HOT! But just not as dangerous as it once was. Once you open it, try to put in fridge as fast as possible because the heat fades fast. The longer it sits in your fridge, the milder it gets. Though, I will give it one thing, this sauce no longer scourches, but it will still last you a while

Pros:
-Very HOT
-Will last you quite a while due to being more like an extract than a sauce

Cons:
-Lack of Flavor, just mostly heat now (kinda a tangy smokey tomato flavor)
-Not as hot as it once was

All and all, if you need spice up something every now and then this is a great sauce. It is concentrated heat extract, and will last a while. There is not much to this sauce otherwise. Good luck and remember, little goes a long way.

Bought this as a gift for my boyfriend who eats habanero peppers raw like apples... he LOVES IT. First time ever he said he has had anything he had to be careful with because it was so hot. He said great flavor still but excellent heat. He can only use a drop or two at a time. We usually go through hot sauce at an unreal rate because he uses half the bottle at a time but not with this stuff! Will be buying more.

Nice heat! I noticed I was using a full bottle of another brands hot sauce in a pot of soup and still not getting the heat I wanted. Glad I found this hot sauce its perfect for cooking. A tablespoon of this is hotter than the full bottle I was using before and doesn't add a vinegar taste since it is so concentrated.

I received my bottle of Dave's Ultimate Insanity Hot Sauce today, and after reading dozens of reviews about mixed experiences, I was becoming skeptical about if it was really that hot. My bottle seamed new, and sauce wasn't globby. It was nice, and pure. I (poured)a little bit and tried it on a taco. The following things happened,
1. My throat caught A flame and began to accelerate in heat.
2. My tongue was next as I began to chew.
3. I swallowed the bite quickly as a reaction to extinguish the heat (yeah right..)
4. Thinking smart I poured a glass of milk, and drank, and drank, and drank....
5. Going through a few glasses the pain was nice, and hot. I was happy to know the sauce wasn't a lie.
6. 15 minutes pass, and the flame was extinguished I was happy that the sauce was really hot, and so was my mouth a very nice addition to any meal for a real spice, I'm sure it would be great for chili.
