I've been looking for a good hot sauce for my husband, who adores a hot sauce that literally makes his eyes water but also has a good FLAVOR. He often tells me (as I am not a fan of tasty pain) that a lot of hot sauces can bring the heat, but that they often have little to no flavor, or simply taste like vinegar. If you're a fan of spicy hot vinegar, I suppose there's nothing wrong with that! But my husband was looking for a hot sauce that had a punch in both heat and taste. A lot of the common grocery store (that we could find locally) were a bit of a disappointment for him.

So I spent some time doing a little research and reading the reviews as well as watching some of the videos for some hot sauces. Mad Dog 357 caught my eye specifically because one of the reviewers reminded me much of my husband: someone who tried a lot of hot sauces and found they weren't spicy enough, or too spicy and not flavorfull, but they tried this one and with tears in their eyes they said they found it both!

So I ordered this as a surprise tasty gift. It arrived yesterday packaged well in a box with a few other orders. The hot sauce itself had a special, very sturdy Mad Dog box that kept the glass bottle in tact. My husband immediately tried a taste, as he'd never had any Mad Dog sauces before, and he was definitely pleased! He said: "It's got a great kick and a great taste. It even smells delicious!"

So thanks Amazon and Mad Dog! Look forward to bringing my husband more tasty pain! xD

Believe the hype. This is the hottest sauce in my whole collection by far. Many of the other "super hot" sauces use whole chili peppers, but this stuff uses chili extract, which is orders of magnitude hotter. I have sauces made with carolina reapers and this puts them to shame. It really is a religious experience. The flavor is nice and almost sweet, for about 5 seconds, then it's 10 minutes of searing mouthfire goodness. A friend of mine put a toothpick's worth in his mouth and was sweating and cursing for a good half hour.

So yeah, it's hot.

Everyone was drinking water, splashing water in their face, chewing some, panting...lol. My son was the only one that could handle it and said it has a great kick and tastes really good

I got this stuff after I bought the original mad dog 357 and this stuff is not anywhere close to how spicy the other one was. That being said, this stuff is HOT. Especially if you're not used to things like that. I've seen the panic in many people's eyes after thinking they are gonna have no problem with this sauce. Always treat mad dog with respect or it will make you it's bitch. The burn on this one is kinda different from the original mad dog. This sauce goes for your tongue mostly (as dumb as that sounds) compared to the original mad dog which attacks your whole face, body and soul. You will be questioning existence if you add too much but if you do just buckle up for the ride and try to embrace it rather than fight it because you're not going to win. This sauce does have a nice sweet and smoky flavor which is totally addicting in my opinion. This sauce is hot but definitely manageable if you're good with spicy stuff. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

It's got high heat but I wasn't too pleased with the flavor...a normal trade-off of super hot sauces is that you lose flavor. Might be nice in a big pot of chili to dump a tablespoon or two in but by itself its pretty neutral tasting with a blast of heat. I've now tried it in left over Super Mex food..."NICE". And a cup of Roasted Chicken Maruchan Noodles. Shockingly unlike my favorite Tabasco sauce instead of making everything better it seems the food you put this on brings out it's actual potential. I liked it. :)

I found the ghost pepper sauce to have a very good flavor, with a mild sweetness evident. But I didn't find it to be all that hot in the spice department. I showed it a lot of respect by carefully applying it one drop at a time, but this soon evolved into much more generous pours. It definitely packs some heat and it would be easy to overdo it, but there are much hotter sauces out there.

I purchased this hoping to get a strong hot sauce, and they delivered! It typically takes quite a bit for me to even feel heat from a pepper sauce. I have been frustrated in the past when using hot sauces as they don't seem to have the kick I'm looking for. Mad Dog 357 definitely has the kick! The first time I used it I put about 10 drops in some chili and WOW I could feel the peppers. I didn't find it over powering, but my wife and kids didn't like it that hot, but I didn't really buy it for them. :) The flavor is excellent, yet leaves the flavor of the items you put it on in tact. I will be buying this again and again.
