While I hate review hyperbole (greatest show ever!), I really am in love with Cartoon Network's live action satire "Childrens Hospital." Beginning its life as a series of Internet webisodes (classified as Season One), it was developed into a late night TV programming alternative for its Second Season. The first two seasons can be purchased together in one DVD set, so I'd heartily recommend you check them out! There is almost no way to adequately describe the savage and spot-on satire that comprises the delightfully insane "Childrens Hospital." There are pleasant shows that you love and you watch with regularity--but every once in a while, something so diabolically and deliciously wrong-headed pops up. And this is one of those shows that is so wrong in all the right ways. Unlike regular television programs, these are more aptly described as shorts. Each aired in a fifteen minute time slot so, without commercials, the individual episodes last approximately 10-12 minutes apiece.

The Complete Season Three compiles 14 episodes onto one disc for the running time of 154 minutes. Specials features include Deleted Scenes, a Gag Reel, "Glen & Mom," Bloopers, and Promos.

The episodes included in this set are:

1) Run, Dr. Lola Spratt, Run, (2) Ward 8, (3) The Black Doctor, (4) Home Is Where The Hospital Is, (5) Nip/Tug, (6) The '70s Episode, (7) Father's Day, (8) Stryker Bites The Dust, (9) Childrens Hospital: A Play In Three Acts, (10) Munch By Proxy, (11) The Night Shift, (12) The Chet Episode, (13) Party Down, and (14) Newsreaders.

"Childrens Hospital," for the uninitiated, is a broad spoof of every medical drama you've ever seen.

Happened to catch an episode one night whilst battling insomnia. OMG! I did not expect a 15 minute show to capture my attention like this one did. It was a scream!

Laughter is the best medicine, and I must say this show delivers. So much so, I bought everything that was available on DVD and can't wait for the next season. I hope this show runs forever.

"Childrens Hospital," for the uninitiated, is a broad spoof of every medical drama you've ever seen. Episodes are highlighted by a philosophical narration (think "Grey's Anatomy") that ponders life, death, love and other absurdities though the lens of narcissism and selfishness. Rob Corddry, a comedian who I have been relatively ambivalent about in the past, is the show's creator and plays one of its most inspired characters. As Dr. Blake Downs, Corddry appears in full clown make-up (think a funny Patch Adams) and uses only laughter (not surgery) to cure (or murder) his patients. He surrounds himself with a stable of terrific actors.

Not for everyone, most women will not like this show for some reason. My wife hates it. Shows she does like: Keeping up with the Kardashians, The O.C., Jersey Shore, Parenthood...she has HORRIBLE taste!

If you haven't seen Childrens Hospital... you should. Season three finds the writing an acting really hitting a stride and extending upon the very well done episodes from season 2.

A standout in my opinion is the Night Shift episode with guest Nick Kroll, who knocks the role out of the park (or swinging for sixes if that's your sort of thing).

Season 3 of children's hospital remains as brilliant as ever. If you caught the reference in the title of this review, then you'll likely love this show. It's nonsensical, brilliant, packed full of pop culture references that are so out of place they're hysterical. If you don't know, this shows basic premise is to make procedural hospital dramas and coommedies, specifically scrubs, as ridiculous as is possible. At $8 for the season there's really no reason not to give it a shot. I guarantee you if you do you won't regret it.

This show is undeniably funny. The humor hits so many angle: Satire, Parody, Mockumetry, And More. This show is the inside joke that is going public. Sometimes its a bit outlandish, but you cant deny the smile or laughter that will come from your mouth. Not to mention Steller cameos from D list to A list actors/actresses.

I enjoy this as much as I enjoy south park. I think the cast is awesome, and is really an underrated bunch of talent.
