The woman is obviously NOT a hoarder and is just LAZY!!! Open a can of bugs, sit back and inject some insulin, toss the dirty needle on the floor and enjoy the show! SERIOUSLY... Buying this episode is the best money I've ever spent.

This woman is just lazy and crazy. It is obvious by her not wanting to help clean her mess and she is in serious denial. I feel sorry for the daughter. I hope she moves out ASAP and is not stuck taking care of her mother for the rest of her life. The mother and father should be ashamed of themselves for letting their children go through this. Those kids deserve better and should be taken away!

The only shining hope for these kids is that they're only a few more months or years away from MOVING OUT of their mother's house. If the mom is of the mindset that she can't take care of herself, she needs to invest in a housekeeper/cook or put herself in a nursing home. But, she won't because she won't get that for free (like her kids labor). Honestly, the County should be more assertive about removing children from these types of homes. Her Doctors are also enabling her to financially continue her chosen lifestyle. Even the Dad could have helped by getting custody of the kids so they could live with him. Interesting how the Mom has plenty of energy & focus to go shopping, or do the legal work to keep custody of her kids (and their support checks), but no interest in doing anything that doesn't threaten her own lifestyle Too many enablers involved in the spirit of "helping" this woman.

To that BIG MONSTER B***H....... Stop feeling sorry for yourself you Queen Cockroach ! I feel bad for your children. If I was your daughter serving you food [WOW] I would serve your ungrateful snobby greasy cheeks a plate of cockroaches and hand you a desert tray filled with some Black Widows then your silverware would be to of your needles [Jammed] in each side of that huge head. ENJOY you selfish BLOB of TRASH- Bonaparte Scanky-Scank !

Poor daughter. I'm not sure if it was the editing, but that lazy mother never once said thank you or sounded grateful for what her daughter was doing, not even in tone. I agree, the mother was just lazy, and wanted to be the victim of her health, her kids, her marriage. She can't get up to take any trash out huh? Notice in the end how "perky" she was, so energetic, and with a wireless bluetooth earpiece? That shows me she had the energy all along, just chose not to do anything. I think the mother wanted to be waited on hand and foot just like she did with her mother before she passed away; there was some psychological connection there. In the end, at least the kids are safe.

A fascinating look at a very complex psychological issue, involving self-loathing, abandonment issues, isolation, depression, anxiety, OCD, and morbid, prolonged grief. I always watch an episode or two when I'm avoiding cleaning--it always gets me going. The hoarding professionals--the organizers and therapists--have the patients of SAINTS! But avoid the animal hoarding episodes if you're an animal lover--they are very hard to watch.

I saw this in clips on YouTube, but decided it was such a good episode I bought it. Very much worth the $1.99! I just want to know what happened to them. I wish TLC would do a "where are they now" show.
