Thoroughly researched and well written. The CIA/Wall Street connection revealed.

Following up on his 2008 book, The 9/11 Mystery Plane: And the Vanishing of America, Mark Gaffney has put together a well-referenced exposé of probable factors leading up to the world-impacting events of 11 September 2001 in the United States, as well as documented facts that make the official story of what happened incomplete and impossible.

With copious footnotes, Gaffney spends the first 140 pages telling us about the history of financial elements that appear to have played a key role in motivating the events of that fateful day.

Not counting the Appendices, the last 90 pages deal with the failure of claims that try to show how the aircraft used in the attacks were steered by young, inexperienced pilot hijackers.

The book includes a Foreword and Afterword by engineer/researcher Aidan Monaghan detailing the use of autopilot technology in existence well prior to 11 September 2001 as the only plausible explanation for making the difficult flight manoeuvres that were observed by radar.

It would be well to quote here a very strong, key paragraph in Gaffney's Prologue to give the reader an understanding of the author's stance on just why the public has been kept in the dark about so many facets of 9/11 and of our society in general:

"America is probably the most propagandised country on earth... Our countrymen have been systematically dumbed down, distracted and demoralised by our own government and its willing minions in the media and throughout much of academia. Here in the US, the dark arts of thought control have been elevated to a level of sophistication almost undreamed of by the Nazis and Soviets."

He then proceeds to give us forewarnings that existed prior to 9/11 involving a host of governmental, industrial, military, and financial policies and actions leading up to the event itself. We learn, for instance, of "the CIA's pragmatic `need' to associate with unsavoury individuals and criminals in the interest of furthering US foreign-policy goals... This of course means that when criminals are judged to be intelligence assets they are to be granted protection from prosecution for narcotrafficking, money laundering, extortion, rape, even terrorism and murder. Such has been our de facto policy since at least the final days of World War II."

We also know that many frontline journalists in every major US media operation were/are on the Agency's payroll.

Gaffney gives us numerous specific examples for clear evidence of secret CIA dealings in Southeast Asia, Central America, and, more recently Afghanistan and Iraq. He reminds us of US Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld's press conference on 10 September 2001 in which he stated the Department of Defense could not account for $2.3 trillion of the Pentagon budget. Gaffney quotes a source saying that perhaps as much as 40% of the US defense budget is "black" - hidden from public and even Congressional scrutiny.

"One of the most successful frauds ever perpetrated upon the American people is the notion that the CIA exists to provide intelligence to the president. In fact, the CIA's intimate links to Wall Street suggest that the CIA was created to serve the perceived interests of investment bankers."

We are told how this was done under the nose of President Truman. (It is here Gaffney recommends, and I second the recommendation, The Secret Team by Col. L. Fletcher Prouty, an insider's view of the CIA's clandestine operations.)

We "follow the money" as our author exposes shady dealings by Marsh & McLennan, Kroll Associates, the Blackstone Group, the Federal Reserve, the FBI and the Drug Enforcement Agency, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission, The Carlyle Group, AIG, Bankers Trust, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Raytheon, United and American Airlines, Citigroup, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Wachovia, American Express, Bank of New York (BoNY), J.P. Morgan-Chase, Alex Brown & Sons, Cigna, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and a host of other financial, insurance, military, and industrial giants that were impacted in some way by 9/11. Insider trading shortly prior to that date is looked at in depth.

We are reminded of certain questionable if not patently nefarious activities of individuals such as Maurice "Hank" Greenberg, Alvin "Buzzy" Krongard, Allen Dulles, Panama's Manuel Noriega, Richard Nixon, Henry Kissinger, Ronald Reagan, the two Presidents Bush, Bill Clinton, Robert Rubin, Clark Clifford, William Casey, George Tenet, Frank Wisner, Israel's Bruce Rappaport, Philippine's former President Ferdinand Marcos, and a host of others.

By recounting history pre-9/11 and by pointing out financial repercussions post-9/11, Gaffney makes a very strong argument that all was planned and that it evolved as planned. The bottom line he thoroughly illustrates is that 9/11 was actually, "the mother of all money laundering scams."

Black 9/11 for me is written in the spirit of David Ray Griffin's series of books beginning with The New Pearl Harbor (2004), Webster Tarpley's and Anton Chaitkin's George Bush, The Unauthorized Biography (2004), and Alan Friedman's Spider's Web (1993). However, and this is a big HOWEVER, I strongly feel Gaffney's book must be read in tandem with Dr. Judy Wood's Where Did the Towers Go (2010). (See my review of that book at Amazon.com.)

While Gaffney gives us the Who and quite probably the Why behind 9/11, Dr. Wood gives us the What and possibly the How, at least for the Twin Towers. Black 9/11 does not venture into a discussion of the physical evidence for the disintegration of the Towers as does Dr. Wood's book. But, together, they form a more complete picture that begs for opening a new investigation into so many of the facts that were blatantly ignored by the official 9/11 Commission.

More than a decade has passed since 9/11 and the truth of the events occurring on that day are still unknown
to the public. One thing is certain, the official version of this crime is not the truth. This day still serves as the
basis for much of our foreign policy and effects not only our country but the world. Increasingly, people around the
world are becomming more aware of the true story of 9/11. This knowledge will provide pushback to the evildoers who
orchestrated this event to advance their own power, wealth and global dominance of others. Our thanks to those
brave individuals who have questioned the 9/11 official story and have brought forth information which the mainstream
media would not do. This book provides valuable information which when considered by that presented by other researchers will shed light on this dark day. The world will remain under the dark cloud of 9/11 until the truth is finally revealed.

The author of this book had plenty of notes and references to buttress his points and opinions. I could not put this book down as it reads like a super spy novel with greed, murder, betrayal, and secrecy. I challenge any skeptics to read this book with the premise of it being fiction. The cumulative effect of all the notes, references, and simple common sense will leave you chilled to the bone about what powerful people in our culture are capable of.

I've given this book five stars because of it's coverage of possible remote control, and destruction of the 9-11 flights. The financial connections and research also deserve the 5-star rating, in my opinion.

It's perfectly obvious to anyone who has studied the (official) flight characteristics of at least two of the alleged hijacked flights that no relatively novice pilot (and the alleged 9-11 pilots certainly were) could have performed Flight 175, and Flight 77 in the manner the official reports say they did.
Especially when one considers that these "terrorists" (who btw were never formerly identified) allegedly took control of B767's and B757's and found themselves on the flight decks of those sophisticated aircraft for the very first time in their lives, having not even trained on such types in simulators, and somehow managed to hit tiny targets flying at over 500mph.

It leaves the strong possibility that the aircraft were under some sort of GPS-guided remote control, and Black 9/11 goes into great detail how such technology existed, and perhaps was used on that horrible day. Flight 93 is well-covered, and the financial connections contributing to 9-11 have multiple links to back up what are certainly some possible (and probable) answers to perplexing questions that remained unexplained after the attacks.

For anyone who doesn't accept the official explanations of 9/11, this is a book not be missed.

    Black 9/11 book review
Black 9/11 goes deep into 9/11 Remotes, Drones and 767 Tankers conversion but skips FAA 2005 updates to flight 175 and Ellen Mariani passenger's wife on going flight for 9/11 truth and Lone Gunman pilot showing top secret remote controls software and protocols and leaves out one big question, who would be at the controls of remote emergency flight path switching. Great book even without all the missing pages. Change parts history for each plane etc. and NIST release showing a drone on 9/11.

This video shows the Flight 175 Parts, radar, NIST drone photo however
missing Lone Gunman Pilot about WTC attack with remote hijack flight XXX.

The book last few paragraphs talks about the stuff about the planes and 9/11.
