Best thing about this movie was the "better than average" looking women , except the wife of the shop owner who looked like "damaged" goods . The storyline and acting were somewhat weak .

great film that is a little off the wall, and somewhat disturbing and tantalizing. Excellent acting by all the characters, and found the girls and ladies in this film to be quite sexy and very attractive. the storyline of this film is a little hard to fathom and the voyeurism of the tanning booths was something that was very erotically charged. The making of the custom made purses out of human flesh was a little disgusting and a little over the edge. there is alot of suspense, chase scenes, and alot of sexy bikini clad chicks. this film reminded me of drive-in films by long ago movie producers where anything went and there were no taboos as to the sexual content of the film. The film was a little perverse and i guess you could say misogynistic, but it holds your attention, just wish that it were 10 mins. longer and had more of uncut footage of the tanning booth scenes... very alluring and what alot of guys who ever wondered about booths dream of. the ending was really cut off suddenly, leading me to believe that there will be another film made.?

Not the worst movie I've ever seen, but pretty stupid. They apparently didn't have enough money to give the movie an actual ending...or they just didn't care, either seems reasonable. There's plenty of nudity which is a plus, but it has the lamest staged action/violence scenes in perhaps ever. One of the actresses looks like an actual gargoyle and it's not makeup. The acting was...basically okay-ish, but not real good )shocker, I know). So, overall...I mean it's like one of those lousy 70s movies that you'd feel ripped off if you saw it in the theatre back then, but now we look at them with nostalgia, so...sort of like that?

not bad for an indie film. the one thing that could have been better was the kill scenes. for example ( spoiler alert ) a few scenes that involved choking, the victims just went straight to corpse mode, they didn't even try to survive. plus you could see daylight between the neck and killer's hand in one scene, which could have been edited out. all in all not a bad movie in the indie genre, I look forward to more stuff from these guys in the future. definitely worth the watch has a cool story which is a big plus.

A little background about me: I enjoy a lot of the independent horror films because there are a lot of undiscovered gems there. I even enjoy a lot of the foreign horror/thriller films, like "Audition," "Let the Right One In," "Haute Tension," "Descent," "The Loved Ones," "Them" ("Ils"), "Inside," "Memories of Murder," "The Host," "Frontier(s)," etc.

"Slink" has a foreign movie vibe to it, with a salute to movies like the original "Texas Chainsaw Massacre." Most of the acting is solid (with a couple of minor exceptions), especially from the leads Art Roberts (the tanning salon owner), Danika Galindo (the main heroine), and Julia Faye West (as Aunt May).

The production values are solid throughout, with fine cinematography (especially from a so-called low-budget independent film), editing, and the music has a great groove to it. It reminds me of how much John Carpenter added to "Halloween" with his great instrumentals.

The director, Jared Masters, obviously thinks out of the box and yet tips his hat to the exploitation/horror films of the 60s and 70s. There are quite a few hotties in this film, and we watch vicariously (with some guilty pleasure) as the perverted tanning salon owner orchestrates his own peep show with some of the girls who strip and lie back on his tanning beds. That dirty old man! But of course he doesn't just stop there....

For this kind of low-budget film you simply can't expect the production values of a $20 million (plus) Hollywood extravaganza. But "Slink" offers some nice twists and surprises, and is definitely worth a rental.

As another reviewer wrote: The film does end somewhat abruptly, which meant to me that this was merely Part 1 of what will surely be a successful franchise. I say: Bring on "Slink 2" as soon as possible!!

great concept for horror movie. beautiful sexy women a plus. the horror elements were about 25% of the presentation, with the blood and guts minimal or short lived, with most implied or off screen.
it didn't score high for it's horror but it was worth what I paid and I like it in my collection.
