This is my first purchase of Puma shoes, and I love them. I am 5'6" tall, 135 lbs, and i exercise every day for about an hour doing a mix of aerobics and cross training. I wear an 8.5 women's size and while I am a medium width my feet are just short of a wide. These were true to size and roomy in the toe box which is important.
If you haven't used cross trainers like these they might feel a bit odd at the beginning. The platform is very stable almost as if you can't roll your foot from side to side. But that is a huge benefit if like me your feet roll outward while walking. It's also a big benefit for cross training classes during which you make sudden side to side movements. These keep you firmly planted on the floor.
They look like they would be very heavy, but they are the exact opposite. They are very light but well constructed. On your feet you either love the look or you don't. They make my feet look large especially in width but it doesn't bother me a bit. The comfort is worth it. I tend to wear running tights which accentuates how wide they appear. If you are wearing yoga pants that won't bother you.
I wish they came in a wider variety of colors but again - the comfort is worth it.
I have not used these outdoors and don't plan to so i can't speak to that. I wear them in the gym for classes like HIIT, boxing and boot camp. And I have also used them on the treadmill, cross trainer and the elliptical. Overall i am very happy with them and will buy them again.
