Cheaply made. Material is too thin to hold a stitch and sure enough, after 2 trips through the laundry the seams are falling apart. Save your money for a better pair of shorts like Russell or Sport-tek. Amazon, please review this item, I don't think it should have the Amazon Essentials name.

OK quality but huge! XL is good for someone with a 48-50" waist...!

I normally wear XL shorts. However, these are what I consider to be 2XL or 3XL. Measured across the waistband with no tension they are 43". The elastic does not go tighter and the draw cord is not very helpful if you have to rely upon that. Fully stretched, these should fit someone with a 50-52" waist. If you normally wear 38" waist, buy the Large and they will still be loose and baggy, but acceptable.

Need a good value pair of gym shorts?

The Bad:
-None

The Bottom Line:
I’ve been wearing these gym shorts around the house and when I’m working out. They’re comfortable and soft. In terms of sizing they fit great as I got small and have a 30” waist. The thing I like best is that the shorts have pockets, I really dislike not having pockets. Overall I would recommend these Amazon gym shorts.

I have to say, I was not expecting much from these amazon branded gym shorts. I train, run and play basketball regularly. I was looking for an inexpensive decent mesh-like short to withstand a lot of activity. These shorts fit the bill. I am 6'3, 215 pounds and the large fit perfect. The shorts end right above the knee which I prefer when running. For $6 a piece, you can't beat it. The pockets are nice to have and deep enough to prevent items from falling out. I would buy again.

I have a 38 waist, I ordered a large, great fit, I am 6ft shorts are at or a pinch above the knee. These shorts have tiny mesh holes like Champion shorts--which I have-, but these cost less but same silky feel I like, plus bunched them up in your drawer or locker, shake out no wrinkles, I haven't washed them yet,,,,I do cold wash, hang dry all my clothes,,,,never use the dryer as I think you are asking for trouble---shrinkage

I have to say I was very sceptical purchasing these as the only reviews available at the time where amazon vine reviews but I can say without a doubt these match and or exceed any other gym shorts that are brand name. I purchased 4 pairs and I only had 1 slight issue on one of the pairs of the shorts when I would put stuff in the pockets the items would be almost behind me. The alignment of the pockets where off quite a bit. Nonetheless I will definitely be buying more of these in the future!

I bought my normal size (large) and these shorts are HUGE for that size. Even with doing up the drawstring as tight as I can they fall down. The material is not bad, it feels nice and would be very well ventilated for working out if I could get them to stay up! (buy a size down from your normal size...)
