A surprisingly good story irrevocably marred by utterly pointless graphic sex scenes.
The story itself was awesome when it wasn't devolving into throbbing shafts and slick channels. And on that note, what the heck (but not heck) is up with the sexist (probably not the right word, but it works) bent to the vulgar genitalia names? The guys get peeeenis, cocccckkk, throbbing shaft, pulsing shaft, erection, bone-r, and probably more I'm not remembering, but all the women get are puckered nipppllles and wet heated slick channels. What happened to all the vulgar names for women's genitals? Cunnnntt, pussssyy, vulllva, gashmeat, love canal, etc... Come on, let's have a little equality here!
The moral of this review? This author needs to get laid BADLY.
Also, what the heck (but not heck) is up with the ton of typos that didn't start showing up until after 90%? Did the editor fall asleep and just say frig (but not frig) it?

I love the premise of this novel. It is full of action, romance, and thrills. My only complaint, however, is that some of the dialogue - i.e., the joking argument of potential names between the two superhumans in this volume of the series - seems just a tad scripted or forced. As if it is dialogue being tried out, not necessarily just everyday conversation. While I love the general picture of some of the dialogue, I feel it could have been written in a more natural form. Also, while I understand the emphasis on one of the characters being a behavioral psychologist based primarily in sex studies and the fact that the initial project in the book, before everything goes haywire, has to do with sexbots, I feel that there is a tad too much emphasis on sex or reactions to sexual situations. Innuendos run rampant throughout the story, and while I feel that a handful here and there can add to a plot, this just felt like too many. Other than that, this book is a pretty fun read.

Fun! This book has it all - strong and smart female characters, technology, a battle between good and evil, cartoon heroes with super powers, lots of action, ethical dilemmas, a satisfying romance and even some urban renewal. A scientist is working to create a zombie that can be programmed to do as directed and the very first subject for the experiment turns out to be a computer programmer whose soul doesn't completely leave his body when he dies, so he is able to reprogram the nanobots directing his thoughts to respond to his direction. And there begins the adventure. This zombie is not the walking dead kind of guy, but rather a hunky super hero who keeps fighting for good. It was a great ride!

OMG! If you love laughter, romance, and the adventure of man-made super heroes, this is a must read! Whether you're a sci-fi geek or a romance fan, Z-Bot by S. C. MItchell will NOT disappoint. Heck, if you love to be entertained, this is a winner. This is a fast, fun, and touching read. Looking forward to books 2 and 3 in the series.

Well, this is a somewhat different concept.
I don't want to give away too much, but I'd love to go through the process that Chris did! How cool to have a body like that!
Curious to see how these characters develop!
Oh, and I'd guessed who was the bad guy early on!
I think I'm going to have to buy the next on.

The concept of this book is so much fun! Mitchell does and excellent job of balancing the romance and the action. With Marvel, lately tuning out some downers, it’s nice to read a superhero romance with an HEA.

Five stars for this fast-paced paranormal/ sci-fi novel.
Chris signed a contract to donate his body to science after his death, but he didn’t expect to die a week after. Dr Heather Logan turns him into a creature half-human, half-machine, using nanobots, but Chris’s soul isn’t supposed to be inside the body. Yet he’s there and takes control of the super creature he has now become, only to find himself hunted by someone who wants him and Heather dead.
Lots of action, hot romance, and laugh out loud moments. The sci-fi part is well explained and believable. Fun and quick read.

Bit of fun

Not always convincing but never the less a fun read.
The characters are black or white hence the lack depth and dimension. Once it got going the story gallops along. The sci-fi if not credible is certainly possible.
The read is better than my review makes it sound if you like action and a good vs bad narrative you will enjoy it.
