The remote is a little different than the other remotes I've seen and currently use with other outdoor bulbs. At first, I did not like this bulb but once I got used to the remote, I love it. The two "heart buttons" let you store two saved settings which is awesome. The Circle color wheel button gives you a color changing mode and the speed can be controlled from slow to fast by clicking on the brightness controls (the two upper left buttons). It cycles slowly through many colors. The last light setting is saved, so when you turn it off and then turn it on the next time, the same setting is recalled. Although the white light setting is fairly bright, if you are looking for a lot of brightness you may be better off choosing a regular white bulb. It is 10 watts so it is probably among the brightest color led bulbs you are going to find. I purchased this bulb primarily for mood color lighting in my office and it really works excellent for that and when I need some extra white light, it also works well for that. I really like this bulb and would recommend it.

I am thrilled with this LED remote light bulb! Before I found this latest one, I had an LED light, that had the basics and I use it for typing, and as a desk lamp. It worked fine, but was not too bright, and went out.

When I purchased this product, I was extremely impressed with the brightness of the light...so much so that I may get another one, for my standard lights for my room's ceiling fan - and replace the other normal light. Standard socket, which is terrific. It may be 9w, but it's very clear and quite bright, with the lighting options and colors/features that make it a stellar product to replace your standard bulbs with. It's has a giant advantage on the spiral - energy saving lights, which seem to go out much quicker than a standard bulb. For what it does, and the multiple features it has, I would highly recommend this to anyone who's looking for a well priced LED option. It's cool, it's remote is very useful, and it's been a huge help already.

This was my dilemma. I have a heavy but beautiful polar bear and glacier-themed lighting fixture that is made of white quartz, but I wanted to have the opportunity to have some color in it to represent a glacial landscape at sunrise or sunset. Unfortunately, the fixture doesn't allow an easy bulb change. You have to flip over the heavy lamp, and then remove three screws that are tightly embedded in wooden plugs that were placed in drilled holes in the quartz. Then you remove the heavy base to the lamp, flip that over, screw the new bulb in, and then figure out how the holes and groove for the electrical cord line up, put the screws back in, and flip the heavy thing without scratching the table it's on. This is at least a half hour job each time the bulb is changed.

I thought that maybe a bulb that cycled through several colors would save me from having to open the lamp each time I wanted some color, and so I bought a "party bulb" from the hardware store, but I found out that if you turn that bulb off at all, the thing would go into default mode which is a sudden jump from color to color as it cycled through the basic rainbow colors. You'd literally have to open the light each time you turned it off, leaving the bulb on through the process, and press a button on the side of the party bulb to get a softer jump from color to color, or a single color.

And so I checked Amazon and thought the reviews for this bulb were exactly what I needed, but... could the remote operate through the white quartz, which was only partially clear in some layers? When I received this well-packed bulb, I put it in the quartz lamp, hoping for the best... and it worked! Better yet, it worked every single time.

This bulb also allows me to "blend" my own colors with the remote, or have the light go to basic white, not a lot of lumens, but enough to light up a room to see everything like a living room lamp. The ability to cycle through colors is there, as is dimming the light. And the best part -- when you turn it off, it holds its settings. It won't change unless you change it with the remote. And so if you have a color theme and rarely want the color to vary, you have the ability to get the color just perfect, and then turn it off and on as you please without losing the setting. This bulb is better than anything I expected to find on Amazon or anywhere. It's great!
