Everything is changing, and Kylie's not sure how to feel about it. Love!!!! Even though it was a quick read, I loved getting another glance into Kylie and Lucas's lives.

Kylie and Lucas are still together, however, haven't spent much time together. But they do have this amazing day planned. Just the two of them...but that's not going to happen...again. The council continues to take all of Lucas's free time. Between that and working with the FRU, Lucas pretty much has time for nothing. Poor Kylie isn't having this and just wants her Lucas back to herself.

Toward the end, as Lucas comes to realize that Kylie and the other were right about the council's plans, things look grim for a moment. But of course, Kylie and the gang is on their way.

Finally after all is said and done, Lucas finally realizes what he has and that he's lucky to have Kylie at his rescue. They grow stronger and they remain to be amazing. Still one of my favorite couples!

The short story takes place after the events of Della's trilogy. It also takes only 75% of the book with the other 25% going towards a short introduction into morticians daughter series. While I did not read much of the last 25% it does feel like a CC Hunter story.

With only 10 chapters this short story can easily be read in one brief sitting but does pack a punch. It is in essence a shadow Fall's novel condensed with plenty of angst, indecision, good friends to talk about problems with, danger and action with heroics and romance. Since it was short there's only hey couple chapter that ends with the trademark Cliffhanger with a false danger/problem.

Man, has watching Kylie and Lucas's love been so incredible to watch bloom, I'm so sad to see it end.
This entire series is hands down one of the best of all time. It's absolutely relatable (besides being supernatural, which I want to be a chameleon now thanks) but man everything everyone goes through with boys, friendship, their own personal issues, it's like my life in a book, besides having superpowers. I relate to Kylie so much, and man this series makes me wish I had a Lucas Parker in my life. And a book all about their love story just makes me tingle.
This series needs to be turned into a like 10 season TV show with like hour long episodes with every detail, every tear, every battle in it. Or else I'm just going to wear my books down by rereading them over and over.
I'm so sad to see the series end, especially at such a good part! But I can't wait to read more from you Ms. Hunter! Thank you for giving me someone to relate to, and for at least letting me find comfort in the pages of your art.

I loved it. I always wanted more Shadow Falls with The main characters and this book was it. Kylie and Lucas together are awesome.

I love their reality to stay together and the complexity of trying to maintain a relationship when it seems that the world is against you. Very realistic when it come to be real life issues. At least part of it, “working too much”.

The action was there, straight to the point, including Kylie’s ghosts. It had me on the edge of feet, I couldn’t put it down and I wanted more.

This is definitely an excellent read, and I would recommend to anyone that wanted more Shadow Falls.

I'm giving this a three because this easily could have been another full length Shadow Falls novel, and worthy of five stars, but as a novella it feels like something you would get from a kid who is a really talented writer but left his assignment to last minute to complete the assignment, meaning it hit on the basics and let everything else out.

A short quick get back to Shadow Fall story. I missed reading about Kylie and Lucas. They met another obscure of their relationship. How could Lucas didn't see that the Council tried to break them up. It was so obvious. All was good in the end though.
