Editorial Reviews

Product description

2 CD set of 36 Christmas Songs from popular artists.

Amazon.com

The title doesn't lie, even if it does sounds like a hyperbolic pitch from an old late-night cable TV ad. With 36 tracks of various genres spread over two discs, Now That's What I Call Christmas might be the best, most eclectic "value-plus" holiday record ever released, assuming your tastes embrace crooners such as Cole, Crosby, and Como, plus contemporary boy bands such as Boyz II Men, as well as the ubiquitous Britney Spears.

In between there are the sumptuous classics by Bobby Helms, Brenda Lee, the Beach Boys, Elvis, and Burl Ives on disc one, balanced on disc two by more recent standards, including Bruce Springsteen's live version of "Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town" and John and Yoko's "Happy Xmas (War is Over)." You're not obligated to like everything here, but that's why Santa invented the forward button on your CD player. --Martin Keller

I enjoy these 36 songs on 2 CD's. From Bing Crosby singing "White Christmas" and Elvis Presley singing "Blue Christmas" to Elmo and Patsy singing "Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer". These songs do not disappoint. I put each CD into the car CD player at Christmas time and I enjoy the season. Although the first CD is my favorite!

Our absolutely LOVES this CD...
We've had this in our Music selection for Years (since it was first released), when it suddenly disappeared a year ago! I was Sooo very happy to see it for sale here on Amazon!
It shipped fast, with some other items... Which unfortunately, ended up with it Broken! But they were great & sent a replacement out lickety split!
So we are once again enjoying ALL our Holiday favourites... From the classics to Modern versions! This CD set simply has the BEST collection to be found~ trust me we have lots to compare to!
Grab a copy of "Now That's What I Call Christmas!" for your CD collection today, & add some Holiday Cheer to your Gatherings this year...

I have a guilty little confession to make...I'm something of a Christmas music junkie. I have somewhere in the neighborhood of 80+ Christmas CD's, and seem to add to my nefarious collection every year. This year, among a few other CD's, I picked this up. I need help, I know. But I just couldn't resist! <grin>

In all seriousness, this is an outstanding little collection for the money. It has a bit of something for nearly everyone to enjoy, and they wisely put the more traditional fare on the first disc, while disc two contains the more contemporary material. This makes an excellent background track during holiday mixers or when you're doing any number of a zillion holiday-related chores around the house. Go ahead and snap up a copy of this two-disc set today, and you'll be set for many Christmases to come!

For many years I've been looking for a Christmas CD that contained all of my favorite Christmas songs by the original artist and I just couldn't find what I was looking for anywhere until I found the perfect CD on Amazon.com.
The name of the CD is called "Now That's What I Call Christmas!" There are 2 discs with 36 Christmas songs from the past and present. A sample of some of the original songs are, The Christmas Song, White Christmas, Blue Christmas, Let it Snow!, Let it Snow!, There's No Place Like Home For The Holidays, Rockin Around The Christmas Tree and Jingle Bell Rock. I love this CD and I highly recommend it to everyone who loves to listen to Christmas music as much as I do!
Sincerely,
C.Devenport

Good selection of tunes from the 60s through the 90s, to suit most tastes.
Could have done without some of those at the end of CD2 like Britney Spears and NSync.
Pleasant surprises on that CD include the Celine Dion and Luther Vandross, though I'm not a fan of either.
Had this for two Xmases now and even gifted my muso brother a copy.
This is the best compilation I could find, though it doesn't cover all my nostalgia requirements. I'll get a new one next year!
