This man knows how to do a haunted investigation. The thing that makes this show so interesting is that he looks at a different type of haunting and looks at it a completely different way. It is the only show I know of that looks for items that suddenly bring a haunting into the world of the living, it is fascinating. Of all the ghost shows this is the ONLY show that approaches this aspect of haunting. Yes there are items that are haunted and they can have an effect on homes, building and individuals but only John Zaffis has brought that to the attention of the public viewer with his shows. The addition of the investigation, the discovery of why the item may be haunted it the other side of the story, the really fascinating side for me. Imagine discovering an artifact buried in the ground under your home that had been there for hundreds of years and which was haunted by the soul of a Native American or an evil slave owner or perhaps some poor lost soul. Well, now your house has strange things going on in it and you have no idea why. Call John Zaffis, his team will locate the item, discover its history and remove it. All so very cool!

Not every hunting or paranormal phenomena is attached to an object, this guy to me, seems to have a great business with this, Collecting these antiques that I guess He would be able to sell, after a while, for a very good price, and now maybe he is already charging a fee to see his museum ( I don't know that, I just Know he does a lot of publicity of his museum and location on the Show). I don't think this show will show you any proof of anything, it's not even a good example of what should be a good investigation and....It is also boring...when you already know that He is going to take an object for his collection and you even could imagine which object its going to be.
Like almost anything that you rent or buy in Amazon it wont have any Subtitles or Audio Support...I hope you know, just in case.

Loved this show. I don't now why the Sci-Fi channel didn't renew it. Some of the paranormal occurances were incredible.
You're sitting, watching, and you are a witness to some unbelieveable activity. I hope that the Sci-Fi Channel will consider
reinstating this amazing program.

How could anyone not love John Zaffis? He's the classic "normal guy just trying to help people", just with a paranormal twist. I was surprised and delighted to discover that John is the nephew of the late Ed and Lorraine Warren, famous paranormal experts in their own right. So glad he inherited the passion for investigation, and that he includes his children in this legacy.

The concept of this show is good. The people in this show are not. It seems to me like they blame all of these "hauntings" on objects that would look cool in their museum.

'I believe this object is the reason why your home is haunted. What would you like to do? I can take it to my museum for you and rid you of the haunting.'

Tools.

It's okay.... The belief that every haunting he investigates is attached to an object, and that he positively removes the entities by removing the object....that's implausible. Other than that, the investigations are interesting, and therlir personas are friendly.

If you like to see the same story over and over and over again...this series is for you. This guy John Zaffis has got collecting mostly expensive items or items another collector would love to own down pat. It's like he walks into a house and scopes it out to see what he'd like to put into his collection, then he tells the owner that their haunting most likely is coming from that item. They give him the item and he puts it in his museum. I've never seen people give away something precious or a family heirloom so easily. Just tell them that its haunted or the item is what's causing you all the trouble in your house and making your life miserable and whola...it's on it way to John's museum. Oh yeah, let's not forget to mention his son...the guy that hardly ever speaks and is about as interesting as a tick on a dog. It looks as if he has about as much interest in doing this show as the viewer has about watching it. Pretty boring. John's daughter takes off in every episode with her laptop to go out and do "research" from a coffee shop...maybe she's the smart one. Neither one of John's kids look like they give a damn about what he does. It's their technical guy that pulls off the whole show. I forgot his name, ha...ha. But he actually makes the show about as interesting as its gonna get. I absolutely love this subject matter about the paranormal, ghosts, psychic's...you name it, but this series (at least season one) is just one after another of the same show.

"Haunted Collector" and "Dead Files" are the best paranormal programming out there. Why SciFi ever cancelled this series is beyond me. I wish it was available on DVD in addition to online. "Ghost Adventures", re-runs of "Paranormal State" and "Ghost Hunters" are OK, but at least John Zaffis and Amy Allen (Dead Files) offer their clients a solution to curtail the hauntings when possible. John Zaffis is the real thing and those who believe he is only there to collect objects for his museum should consider thier own ability and knowledge regarding the handling, storage or destruction of such objects.
