A well-researched and very informative book that outlines the reasons why we as Americans are obligated to remove Bush from the White House. If anyone, after carefully reading this book, still votes for George Bush then they care not at all about the future of this country. He has lied incessantly, done nothing for the environment, has made us LESS safe from terror attacks, and so on. If you do not believe me, then read the book. If you only read one book before the 2004 election, make it BUSH MUST GO: THE TOP TEN REASONS WHY GEORGE BUSH DOESN'T DESERVE A SECOND TERM by Bill Press. In the past year or so Richard Clarke, Paul O'Neill, Bob Woodward and many other Washington D.C. insiders and journalists have published books telling the truth about the George W. Bush administration. But BUSH MUST GO offers a concise summary of what the public needs to understand.

If you don't believe what author Press says in BUSH MUST GO, examine the record yourself and share your findings here. Just please don't write a review complaining about Bill Clinton.

I understand that there are many people who still support the man elected president in 2000. Unfortunately for them, Al Gore isn't running this year.

Bush stated recently it mattered not what information he had at hand or whether it was erroneous or not. He's now saying he would have gone to war in Iraq anyway. So good intellignece info or not he was determined to go to war, period. Not to mention the fact that he has changed his justification for going to war at least four times that I can remember.
The Republican party had Hussein targeted for a hit long before 9-11. Revisit the 2000 Republican campaign ads where they state clearly that the US should not have to buy oil from a dictator like Hussein. 9-11 was merely their opportunity to go in. Ossama Bin Laden may have masterminded the 9-11 attacks but Bi Laden doesn't directly control oil fields does he? Bush has also said there will be an oversight contingent staying in Iraq after the Iraqi's take control to assure the continued oil production. If it's not about oil and it's not about WMD's then the reason has to be to make up for his daddy's mishandling of Desert Storm when George Herbert Walker let Hussein off the hook much to the dismay of Marines in Iraq at the time.
Just how many more lives have to be needlessly sacrificed for the egos of the Bushes?

Bush's book, as the title reflects, takes the position that a U.S. president running for reelection is subject to a referendum in which he is judged basically by how Americans evaluate his performance rather than a careful analysis between candidates A and B, incumbent and challenger.
Press, a former Democratic Party chairman from California and latterly television political commentator, opposite Robert Novak on CNN's Crossfire at one juncture and latterly Pat Buchanan's jousting partner on MSNBC, has experts who agree with him. Kevin Phillips, for one, has stated that the reason why most elections involving presidential incumbents are decided by 10-point margins or better is that voters are essentially voting a chief executive up or down on their perception of performance. A positive rating will hence result in an impressive victory margin while negative evaluations eventuate in solid defeats. While Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Ronald Reagan are both renowned as popular vote getters, it must be remembered that the former benefited from Depression circumstances in trouncing Herbert Hoover while the latter profited from an existing oil embargo, energy shortage, and hostage crisis to post an impressive triumph over Jimmy Carter.
Having concluded that the election is more of a checklist evaluating George Bush on the major issues confronting him in four years of office, rather than a basic comparison involving Bush and rival John Kerry, Press cites the reasons why he believes the incumbent should be rejected.Read more ›

Bush Must Go is a well-researched analysis of George "W" Bush. Mr. Press chronicles what "W" said and what he says NOW. The contrast can't be more striking, his public statements in justification for going to war with Iraq to the facts as we now know them. His taking the United States from a position of trust and respect in 2000 to a place where in October 2003 53% of Europeans saw the United States as a threat on par with the likes of North Korea and Iran.
Bill's writing is, as always, very accessible and a delight to read. Let's just hope people LISTEN!
