- Reviewed in the United States on June 5, 2013Unfortunately, with the Bush administration this book was dropped to harrass and harange the masses thanks to research and experimental pharmacology and lots of ineptitude and learners without pasion in psychology and neurology. What's a town to do, with too much unemployement and local hospitals compete with other local entities to see whom can hire the most and control the city better while intimidating the most and causing social welfare to improve all the while sitting on a ladder. That being said, the DSMIV use to be followed but was traded in for religion, politics and matriarchy and patriarchy all of which have failed miserably for the masses like midevil life did lots of greate favor for an economically depressed and austracious society. I think it's rather time to pick it up back again and really focus on diagnostic criteria rather (whom can diagnose with a spit of an insult and nonlearned society and groups that would like to establish local control...like military was ever good and gout at that...) hence the book to begin with and not the insults to family life and human rights in the name of experiments and improve the pscyhe wards and sleeping units which are underfunded while the local police force also needs more funding and so does 911...denie one, one... Lets see what DSMV holds but what's the intention and watch the intention and purpose if whatsmore and again....it will be droped again like a mouche has concentration and a follicle of espantene has metro oil. So yes an over qualified and educationally indigent people and government stamp and tampon with lots of gift certificates of graduation be they from their corresponding country of origin but not raised and trained in the US speaking English (first of all they won't understand in social english...etc) doesn't create a new indigenous society but it will certainly make government more xenophobous and extraneous and disconnected be the powers that might, spite or would like to indigent control....and the javelin they chose and the sports olimpiad as they wipe and swipe on behalf of more governance that is unaffordable...while charity is more affordable and creates another nonsolvent and unsustainable jobke.! When you get that....all healthcare is irrelevant inspite of the sciences being learned disparagegingly across the world...that's what treason and terrorism is based upon...whom can control whom and in which profession and where is the power that a mucks...while paranoia goes underdiagnosed with immigrants and their gifted university certificates...like that's never happened once upon a time and kingdom in america or new american...hence the book.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 25, 2010I am a non-traditional college student at the young age of 56. I am almost finished with my Social Work degree and the book that I ordered is a must. This is the first time I had ever ordered anything like this on line. The price was fantastic and saved me alot of money especially in todays time. The book came to me in excellant shape better than what I thought it would be. It was in almost new condition. It was easy to order and I liked the price range and the explanation on the condition of each book. The book was mailed to me promptly, I received it about a week or so after ordering. From now on when I need reference or text books I am coming here first. My rating from ordering to receiving and condition of the book would be Excellant or five stars. Thank You Amazon for making ordering and the price and speed that you mailed the book. I never thought it would be this easy.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 6, 2011I am a psychology major and this book has very few differences from the text revision that costs around $90-110 more used. I got mine used and it only had a name written in the front. Amazon is usually very good about that stuff. It explains how everything is categorized, gives you ICD codes for everything, goes over the symptoms, how to exclude similar disorders to get to the main one, and so on. A wonderful book for any Psychology major whether it is required or not. You will use this all the way through whatever career you choose probably. Great investment and easy to understand and find stuff in!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 4, 2013And will be an invaluable tool, for my future.
The value far exceeds the minimal cost.
The condition nof the book is fair.
But, I'll be gentle with it, and it will last
until the new edition is released.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 2, 2021The language is clear, and the book openly admits that these people were actually and actively experimenting on the US population.
I won’t even go into the technical admissions made within the text itself.
Let’s just say, prison takes PhD’s too.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 26, 2020The hardcover DSM IV was better than described. Although it was not listed as new, there were zero notations — not even a name. I doubt the original owner ever opened it. I realize the DSM V is the latest version, but considering my original (now “borrowed”) DSM IV cost $100, I appreciate and commend the integrity of this Amazon seller.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 13, 2013As I am going for a degree in Social Work with my first stop as an LCDC, I get this great book in absolutely fantastic condition and cannot be happier! It also has the codes for ICD-9, but we have since moved on to ICD-10. As certified by AHIMA, it really isn't too hard to look up new codes if you need them for billing purposes. I highly recommend the seller who not only gave me a great price, fast shipping, but a book in awesome condition!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 31, 2019Looked at other books that were similar and it was a great price! was in great condition as well!
