The man can do it all

Book definitely was new, as advertised. I mention this only, as in the past few months, I've received pkgs that did not appear new. So 5 stars for seller or for whoever they used for packaging.
The book itself is an extraordinary read! Christopher Lee had such an interesting life- I had no idea what an amazing person he was! If you're a Christopher Lee fan, but it! You won't be disappointed!

Give me anything about Christopher Lee! What’s not to like? So interesting to read about his life, and lots of great photographs. All about my favorite actor.

First things first: this version of Lee's autobiography is only current to the late 1990s, and a version exists that adds on material from later in his life; the purist in me wishes I'd obtained the newer version. At any rate, this is a VERY thorough account of the man's life, from his parents and grandparents through his childhood, young adulthood, time in WWII, early acting career, and later success. It's very verbose and very British, and not fast reading - but it is good. I just had to process it in small doses. While it's wordy at times, it's also the best Christopher Lee biography that could possibly exist.

I am a big fan of Christopher Lee! I got the book, and I read it in three days! It is a good book, and the pictures are just as good. I would recommend this book to anyone.

This book starts off a little slow, but man does it get interesting real quick. As someone who loves Film and Christopher Lee, I can say that I am thoroughly impressed. This is the 1st Memoir he has written, the second will have more about the films I grew up with. But it is great reading about the films that made him famous. Even if I haven't seen all of them.

Here is the story of an amazing man who has traveled a long an wonderful journey. From discovering his Gypsy and Italian Royal ancestry, his military service during WWII, his family and a dizzying array of work. His friendships with Peter Cushing and Boris Karloff and the awards he has won for his work. Bad guy, good guy, king, vampire, assassin, wizard, evil villain, philosopher, cowboy, gangster, he has played them all. A truly talented man who is truly human. A great read for classic movie and Hammer fans! Enjoy

Gift for my bro. He said that Lee's remembrances of his film career were quite enjoyable. Of particular note was his complaint to Peter Cushing that his Frankenstein character didn't have any lines. Cushing said something along the lines that that's a blessing, as he'd just finished reading the script. Definitely worth a read.
