gCoolers are an Ice Cooler with a gTag Bluetooth thermometer.
The First Smart Cooler
For transporting temperature sensitive goods, look for gCooler. Our bluetooth thermometer sends real time updates to your Android or iOS device, letting you know if your food is safe to eat. The gCooler has 5 insulated layers to keep the heat out, a TPU liner which makes cleaning up food spills a cinch, and comes with a high quality nylon strap for long term use.
The g-tag is the bluetooth thermometer, whichs sends live temperature readings to your android device. You can download the app off the Google store or Apple App store today.
This wireless reading allows monitoring of the food without having to open the cooler, keeping warm air out, and not have to worry about expiration. You can finally transport marinated meats, ice cream, cold beers to picnics with a sound mind.
Simple to use. The thermometer is inserted into a plastic water proof pouch, which is then attached to the inside of the ice cooler. Then once the gCooler app is installed, it will take readings via Bluetooth.
gCoolers hold up to two 12 packs of beer with room for ice, perfect for tailgating at your favorite college football team, or keeping briskets and ribs cold for barbecuing during summer. Get that smoker ready, or stash away some ice cream for your kids, you will be able to know the temperature.
gCoolers features a waterproof rubber zipper, an easy-to-clean TPU lining inside, a rubber zipper puller, strapped around with a ballistic nylon with a shoulder pad. The outer layer of the cooler is a water resistant 1680D Polyester, a higher threaded polyester with a greater fabric strength than 600D polyester commonly found in backpacks. The insulation is a high density, a 1.27 cm (0.5 in) thick, closed cell foam which is thicker than most coolers. For the inner TPU lining, it is inspected for quality by Korea Apparel Testing & Research Institute (KATRI), with oil and grease resistance, and can withstand an abnormal amount of abrasion meaning cleaning is a wipe away. In sum, these quality features ensure the gCooler is built to last.
g-Tag is the Bluetooth thermometer measuring 1.3 inches by 1.3 inches, and has a wide range of use outside of the gCooler. The thermometer has an accuracy of 0.01 degrees and operates at a working temperature of 0-50°C (32-122°F), and a working humidity of 10%~85%. Supplied in the waterproof pocket is the g-Tag with CR2016 button cell battery so it is ready to be attached to the inside of the cooler. Then once you install the gCooler app from the App Store or the Google Play Store, you should be ready to go. The thermometer transmits information live via Bluetooth to your device so you can set alarms for when the temperature below an allotted amount.
If you want to show-off the First Smart Cooler to your friends, or hoping to keep your perishables last, look into gCooler. Keep your circle of friends close and your beer cold.

My husband surprised me with this cool gift! It looks fashionable, has plenty of space for ice cream, snacks, and even sandwiches, and of course, drinks!
I was surprised again by the cool sensor that alerts me if the temperature in the cooler goes above the certain warning temperature that I personally set. I don't have to worry again about whether the cooler needs more ice.
The one thing you'll immediately notice about gCoolers is the quality of materials. The exterior polyester comes in a 2x2 basket weave which feels like a true canvas fabric that will not stretch or tear. Comparable soft coolers made with the 1680D material will cost at least $40. The 1680 denier polyester is nothing like the 70 denier polyester pantyhouse/tights which are transparent. This type of exterior polyester of the cooler is in the same class of materials as the exteriors of Samsonite Luggage. You're not gonna get somethiung like my wimpy Thermos lunchbag that gets pushed over.
As for the ballistic nylon, not only is it unusually thick, but it runs around the gCoolers bag giving it the structural support. So when you're picking up the cooler, you're not stretching out the polyester, but picking up the heavy-duty nylon "frame" which is meant for long term use. They have not designed this for consumer planned obsolescence, but a family cooler which should last generations. If you've seen cheap backpack straps which fray, this will not happen with the nylon. These are more in-line with a high quality NATO watch straps, which by themselves, cost a pretty penny.
Kindly, on the bottom of the coolers, are plastic feet to prevent any unncessary abraision. This is a tip to the quality design of the product. For which you'll realize they wanted to produce a premium soft cooler on par with Yeti, and which will last for the long term.
The pitfall of this nylon frame design, is that the opening of the cooler is very limited as a result, so it may not as be easy to get items in and out of the cooler. You'll see how the opening zipper can't drop all the way down to the sides. But once inside, the TPU liner feels like a thick white shower curtain that you know is easy to clean. The insulation is noteworthy as well, coming in least 1 inch in width. I will run an ice timed test, and will update the review later on, to see how well ice keeps in this cooler.
As for the size, the pictures do no justice. It's super-sized. This isn't a regular lunch box, it's more sized like a carry on luggage, with the dimensions of 14x12x8 in^3, it's just below the maximum limits for most carriers. 24 cans do fit into the gcoolers comfortably with enough room for ice, or about 28 cans without any ice. Given the ample insulation, and the lack of pockets, trying to organize all the food will be a challenge. This should be able easily accomodate 2 gallons of milk jugs and with the thermometer I'd imagine transporting dairy is a finally option.
That brings to the uses of the wireless thermometer. While I'd believe some guys will enjoy the geeking out over tech, the monitoring is still useful after novelty wears out. This gcoolers bag should enable the transportation of temperature sensitive foods, namely frozen meats and dairy, with assurance of sound and mind, for long distance trips. In my mind, I can imagine it's use in less developed countries. NGOS may need to transport medicine like heat-sensitive vaccines to places where refrigeration is a scarcity and roads are quite tangled. Then there's illicit use of body organ transportations, and with the easily washable TPU liner and rugged construction... Well, it's an option to say the least.
Maybe I went a little overboard. I like this cooler. You're going to get your money out of it. I will check in later to give further details, but I definitely would recommend purchasing this cooler.
