Anyone have any recommendations for pre-teen adventure games. I am finding that the Nancy Drew series is too hard. The kids I work with loved Spy Fox: Dry Cereal, Operation Ozone and Some Assembly Required. All 3 were great fun. However I can't find anything that would be the next step up or even similar.

Are you on PC or Console? I assume PC because I remember playing those games as a kid.

Machinarium is a great little title with unique style and art. You can get the free demo for PC, just google it. It's pretty cheap ($10 I think?). Not sure if it will be too hard but I started pretty young myself on these types of games.

Perhaps try the "Clue Finders" or "Scooby Doo" series.

I have both of these series. I was looking for something new and fun. I don't understand why more programs aren't written for pre-teens.

Hmmm.
LEGO Batman/Indiana Jones series? (not sure if you want to throw some action in with the adventure)
Wallace and Gromit series? (funny and not that challenging)
Go old school and get a Carmen San Diego game. (kids may learn some history/geography while playing detective)

just a few off the top of my head.
