I remember listening to my older brothers' Beatles albums at a very young age, but the first one I asked my parents to buy me was Chicago's "Chicago Transit Authority." At age 10 I wore out the grooves on "I'm A Man."

My first vinyl was one that included the theme from the Spiderman cartoon of the 70s, as well as another Spiderman song, on one side, and the audio track for an episode of the show where he fights the Scorpion on the other side.

My first cassette was Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the USA."

My first CD was Nirvana's "Nevermind."

My Lamb, I date all you bastards- and the great thing is that I look great at 46- no receding hairline, chumps. Jealous? I know you are....

My first was The Strawberry Alarm Clock's 2nd album, "Wake Up, It's Tomorrow", only because "Incense and Peppermints" was out of stock.

Next album was Chick Corea's Return to Forever" on ECM (1972)

You losers make me laugh- Nirvana's "Nevermind" Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!!!!!

The first record I listened to over and over (it wasn't mine) was an album that had just come out: Pink Floyd The Wall. I was nine years old. My first record purchase was (prepare to guffaw) Aldo Nova in '81. First cassette: Styx's Pieces of Eight. I still listen to Pink Floyd but not the other two.

That was my brother's first lp. I remember running up to his room and borrowing it when he was out of the house. Stereo lps were $2.99 but you could get mono lps for a dollar less. I walked to the tower records at a sopping mall a few blocks from my house to buy my records.

Car Wash did not have Disco Duck on it. It did have some great tunes on it, though. Rose Royce was awesome live! One of the best concerts I ever saw was Rose Royce and Mother's Finest. I was working at the theater and was blown away. You don't see energy like that much any more.

Get back youngin'!!! I'm 60, and look 46. lol
Three of us at age 15, went to a freinds house, who's older brother bought us our 1st beers.
We put a "stack" of his mom's Ray Charles albums on the record player, and got drunk! We had never heard Ray before. The sky parted, and the world stood perfectly still! Three young white boys, crying in their beer over girls that didn't even know their names: touching and pathetic. lol...And that was that, I didn't own a record player but I bought my 1st Ray charles album! Ray Charles: the greatest singer this world has ever produced...PERIOD

Michael Jackson - Thriller
I was either in kindergarten or first grade when it dropped. We didn't have cable tv yet, so I asked my parents to get it for me on the strength of hearing Billie Jean and Beat It on the radio.
Oh, the irony in that I was a fan of his at that innocent age.

My first album was back in 13,284 BC, it was called "Between a Rock and a Hard Spot" by the Troglodytes and I played it on my wooden turntable with a flint needle. I'll tell ya, that album really sparked some controversy....also a few fires.
