+1 - I would buy prime if I knew I could do videos like anyone else - right now, it's hulu and netflix - quit leaving those of us who need CC out in the cold!

+1 some movies just have low pitch dialogues on some scenes, such as the Watchmen. PLEASE.

Mine is a preference thing, but you can't leave out people with disabilities.

If Netflix could in a reasonable time frame, Amazon can - as it has a bigger pot ($) to pull from.

Hi Christine - I'm Michael Callahan, and it's my name in the Help Content for questions about Captioning. I signed up for this for a very specific and personal reason, and while nothing ever moves at the speed I want it, the teams are making progress. My email address i publicly available, but just in case, you all can write me directly at amazon:

Hi M. Greenwood - the teams are working to make this happen. I can understand how it feels not fast enough. The will is there, and the technical hurdles are being overcome as quickly as we encounter them. While I don't love losing any of your business, I appreciate that you are voting with your dollars. I wish it could make things move more quickly but, honestly, the teams involved are already completely dedicated to making this happen as fast as possible.

+1 Please respond to the numerous requests and add captioning to all movies and TV shows for the deaf and hearing impaired as soon as possible. This is not the dark ages, it is 2012 and time to get with the program Amazon!

So I bought "Quantum of Solace" the other day and thought that I could watch it on TV with captions then found out that you can't do that with Roku. If you want to take advantage of captions you'll have to settle for streaming to the computer. When I stream to the computer I can wear headphones and crank it up...nothing is really gained. I'm guessing we can admit that it is a baby step in the right direction and tha is still working on making things better (one can hope).

Annoying. How has this not been fixed? I'm an unsatisfied customer who will go elsewhere for video purchases. Thanks for saving me $2 on my first one (obviously a mistake) though!
