Take a look at my new book on world history: From Tribes to the Modern World-System. It is innovative, and highly educational. It allows the reader to understand past history and how it has shaped modern history. It is also well illustrated, and loaded with interesting vignettes and case studies. Well written.

Best book!!!The simple joys of Grandparenting by Abigal R. Gehring. It is nice to go to a baby shower and see all the new inventions people think up to make the new parents days easier, but for me, I will give each grandparent this book. They will be all set to make their visits FUN. Imagine helping a child learn how to make cookies, so the kitchen gets messy. Who cares, you are making memories!! The illustrations are so beautiful, craft ideas are great!!Being a grandparent is such a gift, make those memories with the help of this very readable book. Show your kids the pics, read the stories, it is a must. This will simplify grandparenting. It is priceless info.

Jason D. Morrow's The Marenon Chronicles, a fantasy trilogy, is an excellent read. You will be sucked into a world so different, and enjoy characters who become your close friends, or the vilest of enemies. I highly recommend this series, it is best I have read this year.

Wounded Knee: Party Politics and the Road To An American Massacre by Heather Richardson is a MUST READ. What she writes about the politics from 1850 forward is analogous to today's scenario.
