Assimilation Nation

At times Bowie-esque, this smooth flowing, very diverse and atmospheric electronic pop/rock album is worth discovering! Thoughts??

Book of Shadows

Daniel Link's new album. Check out the title track, Book of Shadows, as well as his completely original cover of Lindsey Buckingham's Save Me a Place (Alternative Mix) (feat. Vince Bell & Catfish Hodge). It's his best work yet!

The best independent releases of the last 45 years in my opinion is the Cowboy Junkies 'Whites Off the Earth Now' and Trinity Sessions The director and engineer was Peter Moore, direct to tape with a single stereo mike (the mike from a Cal rose system I believe). Please if you have never heard these albums or the group Google them up and I am sure you will love em! I await your stunned comments. I have both albums on the Latent original releases and a number of vinyl re masters. C.D. is good enough to let you hear what I am talking about. Lee Sherwood McDonald Leeboyvinyl on Amazon

Muse of Fire by Sylvia Bliss
Toad's Tongues in Arsenic by Sylvia Bliss

The two done together independantly on their own publishing unit (truly indepedant), at about 140k. You can't beat that for commitment and some broke a$$ musicians.

Having a cookbook for Spam seems pointless, which I guess is the point.

Mixin' Up the Mojo

Great blues disc, independent artists out of Chicago, pro production quality, and great songwriting! A bit biased, yes, but it's good stuff...
