I just ordered the blu-ray box set of "Rocky: The Undisputed Collection", all six movies plus a bonus disc for only $19.99. They just shipped it, and now I see that they are selling it for $44.49, three days later. I wouldn't pay $30 for it, but I couldn't turn down twenty bucks.

Let's hear it for "Men In Black III" in BD 3-D! We saw this last night and really enjoyed it. Good story, good acting, great 3-D.

Just saw The Dark Knight Rises. I don't own the BD, but I own the movie in BD format (hehe). The movie was epic though, was everything The Avengers could have been, in my opinion. In The Avengers' director commentary, he was talking about how he wanted to make a movie with all the chips stacked against the protagonists. Well, Batman 3 was that movie.

Saw The Amazing Spiderman and Men in Black 3 recently on BD 3d. My friends were blown away as this had been the 1st time they saw 3d in a home setting. They said it was much clearer than in the theater and I agree. It's displayed on my 70" Elite TV (Sharp based) using active shutter glasses. Amazing!

One of my visiting godchildren came over last night, and we watched (at her request) "Prometheus" and "Coraline"--both in BD 3-D. She's an adult and was blown away--absolutely flabbergasted-- by both films and by the 3-D. She remarked she completely forgot she was wearing glasses (passive type). She had never seen 3-D TV before, only in theaters, and she felt the experience was more immediate and involving. Well, so do I! I think she may be getting a 3-D TV soon! Both movies are great, of course.

Someone doesn't like True Blood or just Season Four? Or, perhaps the fact that I didn't mention it was on Blu-ray? I thought that would be obvious for anyone posting in this thread. TB looks and sounds fantastic on BD, by the way.

Chaplin's "The Gold Rush" (1925)

I've not only had it on DVD, but a few other formats:

Standard 8mm --> Super 8mm --> VHS --> DVD --> Blu-Ray (Criterion)

Well, it took three evenings, but I finished True Blood: Season Four last evening. Great show and one of my favorites of all time. I can't imagine ever tiring of True Blood. I will probably still be pulling the show off the shelves periodically for years to come.

Saw the Bourne Legacy twice today. 1st with my cousin and then with my boy and his friends. With D-box both times and found it awesome - especially the chase scene at the end.
