W. A. Burt says:
Can anyone tell me whatever happened to the superb vocalist Corey Sterling,he seems to have sunk without trace.
I first came across him on the Kenny Wayne Shepherd CD Ledbetter
Heights then he teamed up with Chris Aaron for a while but nothing since the American Standard CD.
I would be grateful for any info or contact details.

Feel free says:
Last I heard he moved back to Canada and is either working in an alcohol distribution warehouse or a flower shop.

I have "Ledbetter Heights", but am unfamiliar with Corey Sterling. I'll have to check him out.

Wow, I feel uninformed. I just googled Corey Sterling. I had no clue - I thought it was Noah Hunt singing on "Ledbetter Heights". Can't believe I missed that. I'm gonna get out the CD and listen again - it's been a while.

W. A. Burt says:
If that is what he is doing what a waste. In my opinion he is one of the best blues/rock singers I have heard and he did not get the recognition he deserved.

I love his voice. Now that I've gone back and listened, I can hear the difference. Definitely not Noah, though I love him too.

Penny's Joe says:
Corey is back in Oshawa Canada. Unfortunately he is not in a band at this time.
Corey has had some drug and alcohol issues, and has not been able to beat them yet. Hopefully he will get clean and not waste that wonderful talent and voice he has.
I listen to my American Standard cd's all the time, and wish that Corey was still with Chris. I will be seeing Chris Aaron perform tomorrow night. He is doing his own vocals right now.
I have no contact info for Corey at this time, but I keep trying now and then.
You can email me at pennysjoe@gmail.com if you want, and I will keep you up to date if I track Corey down. When I talk to Chris I will see if he has an address or phone number for Corey.
Take care.
Peace and Love and all that good stuff.

Yes, keep us updated. I used to go see American Standard all the time. I would really like to hear Corey sing again as well.

JSD says:
Corey and his girlfriend and daughter (at the time) lived with us for a while in WI and we became close as we went through the birth of his son and resulting health issues together. He really is a remarkable talent and a man with an amazingly kind heart. We, too, have lost contact with Corey and Sandy (miss her too!)...although I did know Corey was back in Canada working, yet not performing. I will check back to see if Penny's Joe has an update. Thanks!

QC Blues says:
He is with the Chris Arron Band. They don't seem to have made it yet. Didn't have an mp3 option. Just ordered a cd.

L. Carter says:
I think he should get together with Joe Nadeau the rhythm guitarist at that time. While they're at it they should snag the bass player and the drummer to. It would be killer.

I personally think he was the best singer that fronted the kws band. Saw them.in a bar and was in complete and utter awe with his voice
He needs to be encouraged to make a go of it out the are his own .

I periodically check to see whether or not Corey has resurfaced. I can only hope and pray that he reemerges as Beth Hart did from years of addiction to sing again. I think Corey's voice is night and day one of the best I have ever heard....I remember seeing him with KWS the first time live and thinking to myself that he needed to be the lead for his own band. I am sure he would have been if not for his addiction.... hopefully someday....he will be back....

Never bought a KWS CD after Corey "left." I miss his voice so much! Much better than Noah!

I keep looking for news but nothing. The music with chris aaron was excellent. Unfortunatly it seems to be a well kept secret.

For those of you that don't know Chris Aaron passed away last fall while working on a new album with his wife and new band. As for Cory I haven't heard any news on his location or if he is singing with anyone yet. I had the pure pleasure of doing live sound for the Chris Aaron band shortly after Cory joined them. I was so excited because his vocals just blew me away on ledbetterhights. I worked about 20 or so shows for them and each and every one was outstanding. Had the pleasure of mixing American standard also. Got to chat with Cory many times about music ,but never asked about his time with kws.I did manage to get his signature on my CD of led better. He even sang shame shame shame for me on my birthday at a gig. My moust fav song off the CD.
