Now you are making me laugh, QUESTER.

The Protestant church is almost completely "left brained,"
almost completely expressing the "masculine mind."

This is what prompted men like Martin Luther to hold forth.

Martin wanted his own decidedly masculine voice to be heard.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Martin was male, ... as was every other leader of the church at that time.

There are about a million Mother Angelica's in the Protestant churches.

Here's just one ...

"If anything, the Protestant church is more influenced by the feminine." --- QUESTER

If this were even slightly true, we would not see the extreme
aversion to "all things Mary."

Protestants can only bear thinking about Mary, once a year,
at Christmastime.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Protestants see Mary as a REAL woman, ... a mother, a daughter, a sister ...

We laugh with her ... and cry with her, ... and are so grateful for her role in God's plan.

The Catholic church makes Mary into something of an "Ice Queen". She doesn't know our circumstances, ... she has been removed from us.

Protestants embrace Mary ... and all of her sisters everyday.

Thank you, QUESTER.

Joyce Meyer, a very powerful, compelling woman.

A female voice within the Protestant Church.

I see where you are coming from.

As someone who walks in our journey towards Christ?

"She doesn't know our circumstances...she has been removed from us"

So, the Saints in Heaven are completely oblivious to the reality of the Church here on earth?

who exactly told you this?

Jim, I panicked for a moment. But then realized it was time for Part VIII

Jim, I do not wish to post my address, house or e-mail, on a public board. But thanks for the offer.

Never thought of it this way, QUESTER.

Something to contemplate.

You don't have to post it. Lily set up her email on her profile page, I contacted her for her mailing address and sent it right from Amazon to her.
I don't put any of mine out there either, learned that lesson.

Patricia,

If you want to...

You could email your email address to Keepin' Lily.

Her email is on her profile.

Then, Lily could privately forward it to Pastor Hampton.

If you click on your name, then My Profile up towards the top right, edit my profile, you can add an email address that anyone can see. I usually use one from Gmail ot Hotmail for junk stuff, that way I know no one is gettting ahold of anything.

I am serious about sending you a ESV bible, my gift.

It has nothing to do with that ...

Mary is IC'd ... we're not ...

Mary is sinless ... we're not ...

Mary has no experience of a husband and wife sharing intimacy with one another.

What does Mary know of our lives, ... we, the sinners ???

I don't need to contemplate this at all. I know it is not true. Catholics do not see Mary as an "Ice Queen." They do not see her as "removed from us." Rather, those who have great devotion to her view her as a mother, their mother. They very much believe that "Mary as a REAL woman, ... a mother, a daughter, a sister ... We laugh with her ... and cry with her, ... and are so grateful for her role in God's plan."

So, maybe the Catholic and Protestant position on Mary is really just about her Immaculate Conception and nothing more.

Quester,

Neither did Jesus, John the Baptist, Paul.

Your point?

Mary knows our suffering and our loss. She was, in her life, an unwed mother, a mother of a precocious child, a homemaker, a wife, a neighbor, a villager, a daughter, a friend, a cousin, a wedding guest, a widow, a childless widow, a woman who lost her son and couldn't find him, just to name a few.

Jesus is God (i.e. omniscient) ...

It's not clear that Paul was never married ...

We don't look to John the Baptist as a Father.
