Abortion is not directly mentioned in the Bible. Women's rights was promoted by Jesus, but subsequently ignored by early Church Fathers. A women has the right to an abortion. "Life begins with the 'Holy Breath'". Abortion must be legal, safe, inexpensive, few, and the last step in birth control.

Those that are anti-abortion usually refer to themselves as 'Pro-life'. What hypocrites! These same Right-wingers promoted the Iraq War that killed about a million people and was based on lies told over-and-over again by George Walker Bush Jr. (the "2nd Beast") and his administration. These same CONservatives are supporters of the NRA which has recently proven once again how evil they are! Promoting as many guns as possible in American society is the opposite of "pro-life". What liars! How evil.

A couple of years ago at Ft. Lauderdale Presbyterian Church, I was talking to an older woman about different things and the abortion issue came up. She said, "If these anti-abortion people aren't willing to adopt, they should shut up!"

Brad, Indeed, women are beautiful and sacred, and should be entitled to the same rights as men, and women also have the right to life themselves, but No, a women never has the right to take the life within her womb, as that life within her womb, ALSO has the right to life. Peace always in the Most Precious Blood of Christ

Brad Watson, Miami says: Abortion is not mentioned in the Bible.

Argument from silence. The late first century Christian document, the Didache, shows that Christians have always opposed abortion.

The rest of your post, like most of your posts, is a simple screed. It's the work of an obviously irrational person.

Why must it be few?

If there's nothing wrong with it, why say they must be few?

I would disagree - its found in "thou shall not murder".

witchie+ says:
Is this comparable to killing animals? Seems to me that a fully grown animal like a cat or dog has more presence on earth than a few cells that the soul has not yet entered. The earliest the soul enters the fetus is around 6 months and it often does not settle in until just before birth. So, what are you killing--just a pile of cells like an amoeba.

<<Kathleen M. Pelley:The earliest the soul enters the fetus is around 6 months and it often does not settle in until just before birth. So, what are you killing--just a pile of cells like an amoeba.>>

??? May I ask where you get this idea from?

Kevin Bold says:
Yeah, a pile of cells that was a human being.

It's amazing how we come up with whatever we need to avoid cognitive dissonance.

Where did you get that so-called "fact", the scientific writings of Josef Mengele?

Not a human being yet because there is no soul.

This comes from fairly recent hypnotic regressions done between lives.

That sounds ridiculous. Let's put your two statement back to back and see if anyone takes it seriously.

"The earliest the soul enters the fetus is around 6 months and it often does not settle in until just before birth. So, what are you killing--just a pile of cells like an amoeba. This [knowledge] comes from fairly recent hypnotic regressions done between lives"

Amon, With HER Body, YES, but with the BODY of her child within her, NO! Indeed, that LIFE within her also has rights! Peace always in the Most Precious Blood of Jesus our Great God and Saviour

Does that mean you do not eat meat? Are you anti-war like being against the Iraq war? Are you against capital punishment? Now someone like that is pro-life.

Baptism Lily,

I think everyone knows that "pro life" means: "ALL life," except those who condone the right to kill people with guns.
I'm glad that you value: "ALL life."
