Craig says:
I am sitting in front of my puter at work drinking coffee, just got here so it's quiet. How are you today? The heat is about to go down, so just hold out a little longer.

Actually I think it's heading my direction.

Mornin', sweetie! <3

We're expecting another 100* day here. And the humidity has gotten worse, but all the storms miss us by miles.
Saturday afternoon there is a gathering being led by a local Ho-chunk Elder to pray for rain.

I'm not sorry it's Friday, that's for sure!

If only you could send us your water, Sue!!!

With pleasure!

According to the Met Office, we can expect this for the next month. :(

Holy maloney, that's not good for you folks either.
All the weather systems that usually come at us from the southwest and west are tracking way further north all the time. The far northern parts of the state are getting torrential rain at times and we are parched to a crisp here. There's already talk of crops that could be lost.

dischism says:
That sounds bad economically in an already poor economy. :(

It would be bad, micro- and macro-economically. Local farmers lose income from having nothing to harvest and sell, so they don't go out and spend in the local marketplace. Cost of food goes up for everybody due to shortages.
Just spoke with a local gentleman farmer who sells eggs and produce on Fridays to the businesses in town and he said if it doesn't rain in a few days the corn crops will be ruined. That's very bad around here. :-[

I wonder how Lily is doing? Hope she hasn't keeled over working outside in the heat.

The workday's winding down! Time to start rockin' out!

That was our high for the day. It broke a record here, too.
We're going swimming in just a bit here.

I don't mind the heat. Been getting lots of overtime ;)

Are you dealing with power outages, Mac?

In reply to an earlier post on Jul 6, 2012, 5:43:38 PM PDT
A Customer says:
A little. It's more monitoring circuits and making sure they don't cook from every window unit A/C in the city all being on constantly.

I'll make a ton working all day tomorrow and then Sunday I'll blow it at the beautiful Sea Crest Beach Hotel on Cape Cod ;)
