I am currently signed up for the Student Prime for six months, however everytime I go to buy my item it doesn't show a discount. For example it will say Price $67, Shipping Price $3.99 and total, but no discount?

Not all items are eligible for free shipping through Prime. Most of the ones eligible are the ones fulfilled by Amazon.

Yes, do the items say they are Prime eligible? There will be a blue "Prime" emblem next to the price.

You need to pick the free prime 2-day shipping option. currently what you see is the offer to have it shipped in 1-day for $3.99.

You can only use the prime benefits on prime items.

C. Mueller says:
Prime benefits will only apply to items with the Prime logo next to the product price. The product must either be sold directly by or an Amazon-fulfilled retailer for this to work. For example, you won't receive any Prime shipping benefits on most used books, since the vast majority of them are sold by non-Fulfilled third-party sellers.

From what i have seen the "amazon student" is a worthless waste of time. I never have gotten my "free shipping" on anything I ordered except when I accidentally signed up for a free month of Prime trying to get my free shipping on an order. Amazon student is a rip off and the customer service is a joke.

So...what exactly have you been buying? Apparently you're not buying the right things. I've gotten free shipping on 95% of my orders. 2-day shipping and no tax on most items is a blessing compared to 5-7 business days & tax you'll get elsewhere.

And the customer service is just don't know how to talk to people. If you're not nice, they won't be either.

EDIT: You might want to read this page, I know you haven't even opened it before.

I'd just like to say, amazon student was great for me. I'm really sad that mine expired. Not a waste of time. You can buy anything that has the little prime logo next to it and get the the free 2-day shipping.
