I have recently signed up for free student prime, however I would like the kindle lending. I understand that I need to have a paid prime account to enjoy this feature. I want to know if the paid student prime gets this privilege and if so how do I go about upgrading to a paid student before my six months are up?

Yes, Student Prime has access to the Kindle Owners Lending Library. You do own a Kindle device, right? (Not using it through an app on your phone, computer, or tablet)

Here's the info from the "Help" page. Lots of information there...

Upgrading From a Free Trial to a Paid Membership
At the end of your free trial period, you'll be automatically upgraded to a paid annual membership. When we upgrade your membership, we use the card you gave us when you signed up. If we cannot successfully charge this card, we will use another payment method on your account. If you don't want to upgrade to a paid membership, you can opt out at any time during the free trial period via the Manage Your Prime Membership page.

I use the kindle app on my iPad. Will I be able to access the kindle owners lending library with my iPad?

No. You need an actual Kindle device.

As for upgrading before the free trial period is up, I think I've seen some people post that they've done it, but I haven't the foggiest idea as to how.
