Feel free to rant and rave about everything you like about comics and everything you hate (or love) about comics. All related media is also up for discussion be it True Blood, Dr. Who, any comic book or graphic novel film adaptations coming out or those that you would like to see come out. Any discussion related to Manga or Anime is also welcome.

Share thoughts on your favorite Graphic Novels, comic book stories, artists, writers, how you got started reading comics as well as what you think of DC, Marvel, Indies, etc. We want to hear it all.

Didn't even realize that we were at the end of the thread. It's truely the end of an era.

I didn't want to vote this time because the last time we attracted some unwanted trolls. Best not to make too much fuss, I guess.

I just realized how Grant and Chris kept going at it to be the last poster and then in swoops you Barzai to steal all the glory. lmao

Grant: What if we didn't find Tammany by the end of it? Plus, the fourth one must be name "Return of the ____i" it just has to be.

Grant says:

re; "I agree that it is "hypnotically dreadful" but compared to the Spirit Move it is the Usual Suspects."

But you're forgetting, Batman and Robin has Chris O'Donnell.

Just finished up Rasl Volume 2: The Fire Of St. George and RASL: Romance at the Speed of Light: Volume 3. Looking forward to Vol 4.

I am probably going to pick up Jack Kirby's The Demon next week or possibly order the rest of the Rare Bit Fiends from Rick Veitch's website (he signs every book he sends out! Even the America's Best Comics 64 page special he threw in with my order last time I ordered from his site.)

Yeah, never could figure out why 25 year old Dick Grayson became the ward of a 35 year old billionaire. I don't mind Chris O'Donnell, but, yeah, what were they thinking casting him as Robin. I can't even remember what the Val Kilmer Bat flick was like. That one was more on the serious side, right?

I had no idea the thread had an expiration. When I got home and saw that it was "locked down" I though I had missed some horrible exchange and Amazon killed it.

Who was that evil little goblin that we actually had to get banned from Amazon to get rid of him?

Batman Forever - as serious as joel schumacher could make it. saw it once, won't watch it again.

my apologies for not having posted for awhile; i was out of work for two years, and finally rejoined the work force (kind of) - selling suits for Lord & Taylor. two degrees, microsoft certifications, audio-visual certifications - and i'm back in retail. economic downturn is no joke in new jersey.

on the plus side, i've enjoyed fast-forwarding through the Walking Dead. good lord, folks - it's the zombie apocalypse! POST A LOOKOUT and rotate through them 24/7.

that reminds me of the movie Tin Men when they're talking about Bonanza "You got a 40 year old father of three 37 year old sons" lol.

Wow, when I read that it almost sounds like I genuinly want to hear what other people have to say. SUCKERS!

Yes, each thread has a limit of 10,000 posts. I discovered this out when I went to the classic movie forums.

So the last time we almost reached 10,000 posts I thought it would be fun to vote on the new name. This attracted the attention of two or three people that pretended to be our good friend Dusty.

I don't remember exactly who they were but there was this one guy we put on ignore that was just so pathetic, it was almost unbelievable. We couldn't remove him ourselves we just had to wait until he went away.

Every so often he would just pop up and try and talk to us. Since we had him on ignore we weren't going to but he kept trying all the same. But bullies are often like that ... never knowing when to stop when a joke has gotten too old and it's time to go home and ask there mommy why hasn't daddy come back home yet.

Grant: No one bit, so who's the sucker now.

Jeremy, the guy I'm talking about was the real punk who kept saying he could not be cut off and we had to live with his nonsense. I told him that I could, as someone whose books Amazon makes money selling, make a phone call and get him banned; he mocked that for all of 24 hours before I made the call and got him banned. I don't think the person I talked to at Amazon had any idea who I was but I mentioned that I had work published by Disney (not much) and he was gone. This guy was, shy of the Comics Journal message board, the worst message board troll I have ever encountered.

finally finished watching all 8 seasons of 24. I was surprised that the Chloe O'Brien character didn't come on the show till season 3. I think of her as having been on the show since the very beginning. I miss the hell out of that crazyass show. I love how all the psycho meglomaniacs are all vice presidents and first ladies, lol. And why is it that when Jack Bauer makes with the gravely whisper voice, it works, but when Christian Bale does it in Batman, it sounds idiotic?

Favorite moments on 24:

Bauer shooting the only lead they have in finding the bomb and then saying to his aghast boss "that's your problem. you want to find the nuclear bomb but you're not willing to do what it takes. Now go get me a hacksaw" Priceless.

Bauer being literally tortured to death.

President Palmers crazy wife.

Bauer taking the treasonous former Vice President hostage and biting his aides ear off.

Bauer finally killing Nina Myers, the tenacious double agent who killed his wife. Bauer: "you don't have any more information do you Nina?" Nina: "Yes! I do!" Bauer pointing his gun: "No you don't" BLAM! BLAM! BLAM!

Bauer forcing the terrorist's teenage daughter into a Hotel where a deadly virus is sure to kill her. Bauer to the terrorist: "I'm going to make you watch your daughter die if you don't tell me where the other devices are"

Bauer telling his daughter to shoot her psycho, homicidal employer not once, but twice. Just to make sure.

Bauer telling everyone he encounters in all 8 seasons to basically F off and get out of his way so he can save the country yet again.

The hot FBI agent Renee Walker spending less than five minutes with Bauer before she too becomes torture happy and then proceeds cut a guys arm off with a grinder.

Bauer takes an ax and cuts off the hand of his partner and potential son in law in order to open and difuse a device that will release a deadly virus.

Bauer choke holding friends and employers into unconciousness because he doesnt have time to explain his actions. Nice.

Chloe and Bauer having a face off with Bauer choke holding Chloe and then asking her to shoot him, which she does.

The FBI agent in season 7 telling Bauer that "we need the rules so we don't end up like them" and then Bauer and the FBI guy's girlfriend going straight off to torture some dude.

Bauer making a terrorist think he executed his kids in order to get him to talk.

Bauer reuniting with former movie co stars Lou Diamond Phillips and Dennis Hopper in season 2.

Bauer killing everything in site after believing his daughter has been killed.

Chloe maching gunning the crap out of a terrorist.

Bauers friend Tony Almeda going nuts and turning terrorist after his wife is killed.

Every scene with President Palmer.

Every scene with Cherry Jones as the President in seasons 7&8.

I love James Bond and all, but Jack Bauer makes Bond look like a member of the ACLU.
